Zenno: A sparkling water. We call this anzushala, Very refreshing. Enjoy. You were talking about Holodecks and music? And your singing along to songs?

Berry: Yeah... ::Leaning back, eyes closed:: For me, I like to listen to classical when I'm relaxed, ::leaning forward, eyes wide open:: and to rock when I need some hype. I also listen to other genres occasionally.

Zenno: I am unfamiliar with those musical genres. If you’d like to recommend some selections, I would gladly listen. One of the things I so enjoyed about my time in the Academy was learning about my classmates and their cultures. I mostly spent time with a Vulcan, a Tellarite, and a Saurian. We were quite the group. But now I get the chance to learn about what even more cultures are like. Truly, we live in an age of wonders. Would you send me a list?

Berry: Well... Let's see... ::Inhales loudly:: For classical, I'd recommend Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Bach's violin concerto in A Minor, Beethoven's Pathetique sonata, Chopin's nocturnes, and Rachmaninoff's prelude in C sharp. ::Starts rearranging her hair:: Then for rock, I'd say Hotel California and Free Bird for the solos, anything made by Pink Floyd, Sweet Child O' Mine, Bohemian Rhapsody, just to name a few.

Zenno: oO That sounds like an extensive list! I will get the computer to organize that for me. Oo Wonderful. When it comes to Holodecks though, I admit that I do not see the appeal. I use them extensively for training, practice, combat simulations, and historical analysis. But I don’t enjoy role-playing stories. I know I am the exception in this. But I joined Starfleet for the greatest adventure the Federation had to offer. I find holodeck stories poor and meager in comparison to the wonder and majesty of the galaxy that is actually in front of us. If I had tried to create a story that even remotely compared to the travails of our recent mission, I am certain I would have failed. ::pause:: I know this is an unusual position.

Berry: Fair enough. You know, everyone's got their strategies to shield themselves from stress. There's no technique that's effective for everyone. Obviously what makes an Human relaxed likely won't be very effective with a Klingon, or a Vulcan. I'm saying likely because this changes between individuals.

Zenno: That is an astute observation. I see why you are well-suited to being a counselor. For my personal creative pursuits, I write poetry in my language. It’s not good, but I like writing it. ::shrugs:: But I would enjoy hearing about where you are from. I did not explore Earth all that much in school. Would you tell me of your corner of it?

Berry: Sure! My hometown is called Abano Terme, and as the name suggests, it is known for its hot springs. In fact, baths were built there when the Roman Empire was around, 2000 years ago! It stays near a series of hills that were once volcanoes, too. It was a pretty pleasant place to be raised in. How about Starbase 307?

Zenno: The Starbase was wonderful. It’s in our home system you know. But the Starbase was much more exciting than the planet. We had ships of all kinds coming and going. More aliens at once on the Starbase than you’d ever see in even some of our biggest cities. And such food and culture, all crammed into a giant tube in space.

Berry: Wow... That's actually really interesting. I don't really know what else to say, sorry. Starbases are still pretty elaborate, though. Gotta give it to you. Well, it was good chatting with you, Zenno. Looking forward to work with you!

Zenno: It was a delight to talk with you, New Colleague Ens.. uhh, Holly. oO I am unsure of humans in general and I know even less of counselors. Is this one representative of the type? I will ponder this later. Oo ::stands as Holly stands:: Enjoy your day, and welcome aboard.

The Bolian looked at his empty Altair Water and was deciding on if to get another when he saw that Holly had left her bag on the chair. Thinking to grab it and return it to her before she got too far away he reached for the strap handle. But then a small hand darted in and snatched it away.

Berry: ::impulsively:: Don't touch! Sorry if I, uh, grabbed my bag like that. It's that I'm very jealous of my stuff and I don't like it when people find out about what's inside my precious thing. And I get mad when it happens. Sorry again...

Zenno: Absolutely I will not interfere. I am glad you did not forget your things! oO That was strange. I must have caused offense. I will discuss this with Saava at the earliest opportunity. Oo

Berry: Good to know. Have a good day again, Zenno!
