((USS Arrow - Deck 6; Starboard Bow))

Roxy tapped her tricorder lightly. It was as if the readings did and didn't make sense at the same time. From what she could tell, something on the planet - a technology well in advance of what she believed the Chalnoth possessed - was attempting to assimilate the Arrow's replicator system. Assimilate, she mused, by changing the isolinear patterns and... transforming them in some way.

She'd read cases like this before. Computer systems and even brains had been modified in order for communication. And the next target seemed to be the ship's as-yet-uncompleted holodeck.

Roxy glanced to Manx.

Wilde: We need to move, and quickly.

Suddenly, she felt a stirring at the entrance of the lounge. Surprisingly, Hitchcock and Scully seemed quick off their mark and levelled their rifles at someone. An intruder? She held her tricorder tight and raised it, as if throwing it at the intruder was likely to stop them.

Hallack: ::Hands in air, to Scully and Hitchcock:: I mean no harm, I’m here to help.

Wilde: Help? Who are you? What are you doing here?

Manx: Response

Another hologram, perhaps? If their tech was being biotechnically modified, then they could be seeing Chalnoth all over the ship!

Hallack: I am Hallack, first of Messoq and second in command of the Saracen. I am seeking the cubs of Messoq. Mr. Jones had indicated you might have them contained here. ::Looks around:: Where are they?

Wilde: Wait... cubs? You have children on that warship?

Manx: Response

Hallack: They appear to have escaped … protective custody on the Saracen, sabotaged ship systems as a prank and transported here. They are very clever, but this … this is beyond what I would expect…

Wilde: Well we did see some children earlier, but our scans didn't last long.

Manx/Halleck: Response

Smirking, Roxy tossed the tricorder lightly to the Saracen's First and placed her hands on her hips.

Wilde: Well if they're not holograms, explain to me why our sensors detect no life signs?

Halleck/Manx: Response

Wilde: Then they're more adept at engineering than I am. A couple of geniuses your Captain is raising, it seems. ::She shook her head.:: No, I don't buy it. Something is playing havoc on our systems. Could it be affecting your systems too?

Manx/Halleck: Response
