Wilde: Wait! I'm coming with you.
The redheaded Commander stepped in behind him.

((Exterior, Starboard Bow, Deck 6, USS Arrow))
With something between scurrying, and lumbering, two overdressed men arrived. Like himself, they were much too old for their rank. Unlike himself, he was certain just by looking at them, that their rank was due solely to actual performance, and not the need for a scapegoat.
Wilde: Seriously? These two?
Manx: Can't say I've read the book, but the cover isn't promising.
Wilde: ::Rolling her eyes.:: Welcome to the B-Plot.
This garnered an amused smirk. There was the lower deck, then there was the bottom of the barrel.
Hitchcock: Did you say something Commander?
Wilde: Oh nothing, just that if there is an intruder on board we'll probably all die an agonizing death.
Scully: Don't you worry, sir. We've got you covered!
Someone needed a refresher in muzzle control. Fortunately, Commander Wilde had quick hands.
Wilde: Will you put that thing down before you get us all vapourized!
Manx: You did hear the part where the intruders are children, crewman?
Hitchcock: We'll follow your lead, sir.
Wilde: Why me? What did I ever do to be stranded on this ship like a rat on a lifeboat? I hate this ship! I hate this sector! I hate this planet... and I hate YOU!
She was fortunately looking towards the other middle aged gents. He himself had not been thrilled with this assignment. But there would be a lot of new intel to sift through later.
He put on his calming, fatherly tone.
Manx: Ma'am.
The Commander seemed to snap herself out of it, with a clearing of hair, and a meditative breath or two.
Wilde: Now. I'm going in, and conducting some scans. Cover me until I get the data and an accurate assessment of what's going on. Think you can manage that, boys?
Manx: ::speaking only for himself:: Yes ma'am.
He looked toward the two crewmen.
Manx: You hear the Commander? If you fire before it is necessary, Commander Serinus will get two of the most scathing mission reports in the history of Starfleet. Those things are stun?
The two men gave him a couple of nervous nods. He craned his head, to look over their rifles, just in case.
Manx: Good, now relax a little. ::break:: Not too much.
He looked back toward the attractive Commander.
Manx: On your Mark, ma'am.
The aged Intel operative, Codename: Slither, drew his phaser and held it on the ready.
Anyone: Response
Wilde: Response
It was on. As she moved in to conduct her scans, Darrell held his phaser at the ready.
