Vincent had just finished telling them how no one got sent to the waystations these days. The corridors and their entrances had apparently been lost to time a while ago. Now, a ship had to accidentally stumble into them.

Serinus: So, even if they did have the clearance to know about the Station, they wouldn't have done it on purpose. That doesn't really eliminate any suspects.

Jones: Perhaps not, but it does eliminate ulterior motives maybe.

O'Malley: I was going to ask, did you find anyth–

The Ensign's combadge beeped.

Wilde: =/\= Commander Wilde to Ensign O'Malley. =/\

Without waiting, the voice on the other end continued.

Wilde: =/\= Ensign, we need your skills in Engineering. You're skilled in Ops, correct? =/\=

O'Malley: =/\= Yes, commander. =/\=

Wilde: =/\= Excellent. Wilde out. =/\=

O’Malley: It sounds like I’m needed in engineering. Will that be all?

With a silent nod, the security chief dismissed her.

Jones: Good luck.

He said it and he meant it. They were going to need all the help and luck they could get from the universe and everywhere else.

The young woman left and only when they were truly alone did the security officer speak to him.

Serinus: I hope they've come up on another lead. ::break:: I still haven't ruled out Commander Wilde, of course.  I am not letting my own complicated relationship with her brother cloud my judgement positively, or negatively.

Vincent felt one of his eyebrows reach upwards. Unaware of the relationship or link between the two,  he wondered if the Magna Roman was trying to convince himself by putting it out there in the air between them.

Jones: Would never think you would.

And that was the truth. Vincent hadn't been on the Arrow for years like some of the officers, but he'd built a good working relationship with the chief of security and he respected him greatly.

Serinus: We must be prepared mentally for every possible scenario.

Another good idea and directive.

Jones: Indeed. It prevents us from being caught too long in things we don't have time to reasonably think through.

Serinus: When Reagan was with us, the command team and our NCOs made detailed assault, counter-assault, and defense plans for each common area on the Arrow.

Nothing stood up to a good plan. Vincent believed that, Kali had believed that, the marines believed that...hell, without a good plan, there was little that would ever be accomplished.

Jones: Planning makes the difference. This I know.

Serinus: Thorough, is my middle name.  So to speak.

At that, Vincent smiled. The man hadn't gotten to his rank and to chief without planning, succeeding, and achieving.

Jones: Doesn't surprise me. ::Beat.:: So what now?

It was his way of asking for their next steps, their next orders, and their next direction.

Serinus: We keep combing through these dossiers, keeping in mind all of the new information we have gathered.

Vincent nodded.

Jones: We can split the stack and get through it twice as fast.

Serinus: Response?

With a nod, the marine pulled up a chair and held out a hand for whatever information he would be given to look over. On a nearby console, he logged into Blacknet and went back to where he had been in the intel suite.

Jones: Sometimes you can find things hidden in insignificant chatter. It could be helpful.

Serinus: Response?

Down in their broom closet of an office, Vincent might have put his boots up on the console. As it were here, he left his booted feet on the ground.

Jones: Any large operation leaves a footprint somewhere. Just gotta find it...

Serinus: Response?
