((Deep Space 33 Conference Room 3-D))
Everything had changed, not in the way Talia had anticipated. What started as a pretty exciting award ceremony, had ended with the literal theft of their home. Well, the collective home. Instant mood killer. Eliza Tull, the universe exchange person, had a visceral reaction. Being the newly minted Chief Medical officer, in place of just acting, Talia was on hand and walked her through the panic attack. Now, the once jovial gathering of officers was grim. With a very thick band of shared hostility towards whomever snatched their ship.
Hobart: Alright, good. ::sigh:: You're all here.
Slipping into an available seat, the Haliian had managed to snag a spare PADD on the way in, ready for whatever would be needed of her.
Hobart: Let's go over what we know. First, the Arrow is gone. ::beat:: And that's the list. Captain should be here shortly, but now’s the part when we figure out what we need to know: who stole the ship, how they did it, why they did it, and what they're planning to do.
It wasn't the time, or the place, but Talia couldn't help but notice how well Nolen slipped into his new command role. Not to mention how nicely the red complimented him. Mentally, she slapped herself for getting distracted at the very worst of times.
Hobart: Commander, you're on “who.” Our best lead is the Decontamination Team. Work with Zenno and Zerva to get whatever files you need from DS33. Anyone else you think might have had means, motive, and opportunity?
Waters: Yes, sir. I've already enlisted Lieutenant Zenno's and Ensign Zerva's aid to look into the decon team. We're grabbing everything we can, as fast as we can, in case we need to leave the station.
Zenno/Zerva: Response?
Hobart: Connor, you're on “how.” Figure out how they pulled it off, whether we can pull the same trick to get our ship back. And if not, we’ll need a plan for when we do find them.
Dewitt: Aye ::nodding:: I hope the station's sensors picked up anything.
Senak: Response?
Connor had to be fuming. An engineer and the ship he serviced was a sacred bond. She did not envy the rapscallions who would be incurring the newly minted Commander's wrath. Although, she sincerely hoped she got to be in the room when it happened.
Hobart: Commander, double duty for you, ma’am. We need to figure out why someone would take Arrow, specifically, and what they plan to do with it. And we need to figure out what we can do to stop them. Lieutenants Jacin and Ohnari can assist.
MacKenna: Aye, sir.?
Sitting up straight, she gave what she hoped was a confident nod towards their chief spook.
Ohnari: At your disposal, Ma'am.
Jacin: Response
The conference room doors opened, and Captain Shayne entered the room accompanied by another Starfleet Captain, hopefully one who was planning on helping.
Hobart: Commander Stergis has placed all non-essential Arrow personnel on lockdown, as a precaution. In case we're compromised. So this is it, this is our team. Any questions?
Talia grimaced. There were several orderlies she knew wouldn't enjoy being sequestered during their shore leave. She'd make sure to have a heaping pile of "Sorry our ship got stolen causing you to be smooshed in a room on a Starbase" Cupcake plate. Or seven.
Shayne: None from me. Are all hands ready to pursue this?
Waters: I have a question, sir. But I'd like to handle it privately, if possible.
At that moment, she had about six billion questions, but none of them could be answered by anyone in this room. Just the ones who absconded the ship.
Zenno: Sirs. We all realize that this may change moment to moment, but as of right now, is this a recovery mission or a destroy mission? Many decisions we may make may hang on that guidance.
Shayne: It’s a recovery mission, but I’ll sooner see her destroyed than see her in the hands of pirates.
Fear grasped Talia with absent, cold, hateful fingers spidering down her spine. Her fingers gripped the table in an effort to banish them. They couldn't allow the Arrow to be in the hands of pirates...but to willfully execute her...? She knew the protocols, and she knew Captain Shayne. He would not allow her to be defiled. Slowly, in the pit of her stomach, the rage began to simmer. Armand was currently in her office. She hadn't thought the prosthetic would hinder a mass cleaning....plus considering where she had procured him, she thought a thorough cleaning would do him some good.
Now, sitting in an available conference room, she began mentally crafting the exact sort of revenge that would be enacted on any one person or persons who stole Armand from her. It may not have been their primary directive, but she had no doubts they'd be sorry, once they were in the midst of her enacting such revenge.
Also, she realized she hadn't eaten in about twelve hours, and clearly she was bordering on irrational hatred due to lack of calories. Before she got herself demoted or referred to the newly arrived counselor for mandatory psych evals, she decided she'd grab a snack at the nearest replicator before having to speak to senior staff.
Zenno: Response?
Shayne: Other questions?
Dewitt: If we know where the Arrow went and what happened, how do we get there?
Did they know? Either way, she was certain there wasn't an asteroid or abandoned science port that wouldn't be combed through.
Hobart/Any: Response?
Shayne: Captain, with your permission, we’ll onboard your vessel and set a pursuit course as fast as she can take us.
Hayley: Response?
Gods had favored the crew of the missing Arrow, by having a Starfleet Captain and ship just ready and willing.
Shayne: XO, see to it all senior staff are aboard ASAP. If you need to bring anything, grab it and go.
Dewitt: ::addressing Hayley:: We'll just need to transfer station sensor logs to the ...
Hayley: Response?
Dewitt: ... of course. The Khitomer. I'll coordinate with your Chief Engineer to analyze those together with your ship's sensor data.
Hayley: Response?
They had their orders, and not a single person in that room wasn't ready to walk through flames to get them done, and get back their home. Talia couldn't help but grin as Connor dipped his head and kissed Lieutenant Jacin's cheek in parting. Those two were adorable, and she decidedly did not look towards Nolen. Their first kiss had been...interrupted. With his new duty, she also hadn't a chance to speak with him in private, for more than five seconds, so she was a bit unsure where the two stood in their endless battle of wills that more than likely lost some of the lower deck officers a few credits or two.
Banishing far less important matters, she scooted her chair towards the corner the intel chief had acquired.
Ohnari: Commander, I am admittedly out of my element...considering we can't diagnose our way to motive.
MacKenna/Jacin: Response?
Ohnari: In whatever way I am most helpful, please shove me.
MacKenna/Jacin: Response?
Talia glanced to her leg, the edge of her dress had allowed the bandage to peek out.
Ohnari: No worries there, it's mostly for everyone else's benefit. Regrowing tissue isn't exactly aesthetically pleasing for those outside the medical field. ::she herself found it endlessly fascinating, and had spent more than a few hours watching her leg literally regrow the damaged tissues and derma. Admittedly, she needed better hobbies.:: Providing we aren't expected to locate the Arrow via interpretive dance, it will not be an issue. ::smirking:: Although I am a master of Jazz hands.
Should she be demonstrating during a seriously intense moment? Absolutely not. Did she instead offer a minor preview before awkwardly clearing her throat and grasping her hands beneath the table? Unfortunately.
MacKenna/Jacin: Response?
