There were a number of new proposed bylaws by the Corporate that needed his attention. It would look foolish for the Captain not to have a clear understanding of them if pressed by anyone foolish to press him on them.He was reading the fine print of the proposals when the notification came up on the information panel.
The weapons fire to the surface was brief and rapid then it was like it never happens. He was mortified, he was the only one aboard to have permission to the weapons system. It was true that if the scum didn't leave the surface he would enjoy getting rid of the scum, but this was a clear and total void of the laws that governed the ship. His command.

It was a few minutes later that he was informed that the puny federation ship was on a collision course with the Codex.

IF the federation varmin wanted to the commit suicide, that would fine with him.
