((USS Arrow - Deck 3; Sickbay))

The trip down to Sickbay was short and uneventful, which was pleasing considering their current status. By rights the ship should be in chaos. Their CO and CIO were missing, the Acting XO was off-ship with their best engineers, and worst of all they had a spy in their midst.

Despite this, the ship was running smoothly. Repairs were well underway, Odyssey Station seemed quiet; ancient and slumbersome in its location. The crew were anxious but performing well despite the circumstances. The bridge was quiet. The gentle clicks and hums of the LCARS consoles were pretty much the only source of sound on the sombre bridge. The massive and complex viewscape of Odyssey dominated the viewscreen.

Maz had had enough. He left the bridge in the capable hands of Lieutenant Stern - an aptly named Beta shift officer equipped with a gruff demeanour - and now he found himself walking the decks of Deck 3 towards Sickbay.

He entered and found it running as smoothly as the rest of the ship. He assumed that Commander R'Ariel and her team would have finished the evaluations of all the psionically sensitive members, and was glad to see only a few crew members left settled on the biobeds.

He approached quietly and placed his hands behind his back as he meandered through the biobeds. He felt a pang of nostalgia as he examined various computer terminals and medical equipment on their clean trays. Although he was not a doctor anymore, indeed he was not even Jareth anymore, he still felt a warm kinship to the profession.

R'Ariel: Response

Rodan: Oh, it was very quiet on the bridge. Nothing exciting to report beyond the extreme location we're in. Thought I'd pop down and see how things are.

R'Ariel: Response

Maz smiled and almost shrugged.

Rodan: Well, I was hoping you'd put me to work. As odd as it might sound. At least, we can work on something together.

R'Ariel: Response

Rodan: We had an influx of visitors to the Arrow during the run up to the test drive of the Proteus engine. SCOE teams, crew transfers. I was hoping we could go over their recent onboarding medical results, see if we can find something out of the ordinary with them. A clue as to who the saboteur might be? ::He sighed.:: Maybe it's nothing. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws, but I need something to do beyond sitting in Shayne's chair.

R'Ariel: Response
