((Genti II; Grand Central Establishment - Brynja Bairiri Hall; Main Stage))

Rodan: I guess some of you aren't ready for that kind of music on Genti II yet... ::Beat:: But your kids are gonna love it!

As Maz exited the stage, Artinus nodded to him.

Serinus: That was ::break:: interesting.

It was interesting. And very odd to his own experiences. He really wasn't one to become obsessed with Ancient Earth, aside from the Terran version of his own home, which he once visited during a summer leave.

The Magna Roman, dressed in a black singlet, waited for The New Breed to fade away, then walked over to the holoprojector and loaded his own  program. It was nice to do a little programming again.

The scene faded into vision, then he nodded to have the curtains raised.

A couple of squads of (Magna) Roman legionaries stood at the back of the stage, a soft light falling upon them.

One of the soldiers began to pound a bass tom drum in a slow march rhythm. The remainder raised up trumpets and held them to their lips, sounding out a fanfare.

((OOC:This, but with a marching beat behind it. https://youtu.be/EW8XYPWOypE))

((IC))
The preshow jitters were starting to set in. He'd spent the last several days perfecting a new skill. His overall athletic build and conditioning made it much easier to pick up than it would have been otherwise.

After the last note sounded, and the beat died, the light faded back down and a single spotlight fell onto stage right. It fell upon one Artinus Serinus, one of Star Fleet Academy's top ten athletes of all time. The tall, leanly muscular man raised a hand towards the crowd. He took a small run, and sprung forward, nailing a simple handspring flip. His momentum, both figurative and literal, catapulting him into three proper somersaults. He stumbled a small bit on the landing but caught himself, momentarily taking a step back to rebalance himself physically and, he hoped, mentally.

Taking a deep focusing breath, the Security Chief did a series of cartwheels towards center stage, twisting in the air on the last one, and landing facing  away from the crowd. Soon he was quickly approaching them as he backflipped repeatedly.

Twisting one last time, he landed facing the crowd, with no hesitation, he continued into a handstand on the front lip of the stage. Some of the Gentii observers gasped at this.

He did a handstand pushup, down, then he released on the way up, sending him into the air. He recovered and transitioned, repeating the trick twice more. Not too much to keep it from becoming repetitive.

Pushing himself back to his feet, the spotlight died, then the soft light fell back on the band who repeated their musical routine.

He walked to center stage while it happened, two enlisted Arrowheads hustled a barbell with 200 pounds on it, and set it in front of him.

As  the spotlight fell back on him, he crouched down, and quickly overhead pressed the weight, holding it for 10 seconds before setting it back down. His assistants came and each picked up one half of the weight and then he hopped on the bar, balancing upon the bar. The pair carried him to exit stage left, as the band played one last fanfare.

Once he was backstage, he hopped off of the barbell. He looked at the two enlisted and nodded with a small professional smile.

Serinus: Thank you. Take the rest of the day off.
