R'Ariel: Perhaps it would be a good idea if I met with the non-patient representatives of the Chalnoth.  Try to establish a psychological baseline for this group.  Might give us insight, medically, and diplomatically.

Ar’Gorvalei: This could be an opportunity to increase the Federation’s knowledge of Chalnoth physiology and psychology. If appropriate, it would be extremely helpful to get in contact with Chalnoth healers.

MacKenna: Like most other aspects, I have little to no intel on if they even have such things.

Ar’Gorvalei: Even technologically primitive communities generally have someone who knows how to treat common sicknesses and set bones.

MacKenna: Perhaps you are right.

R'Ariel nodded appreciatively, which is one reason why she was hoping to get to know these Chalnoth better.

R'Ariel: There are few species that abide by the strictest primitive code of survival of the fittest, that make it to the frontiers of space.  I am hopeful.  Besides, asking for help is a good sign that there was value in their society for the caring of those in need.

She tried on a hopeful smile.

O'Malley: Responses?

MacKenna: Good luck on your end. I'll send out updates if I find anything.

R'Ariel: Thank you.  I still think, if it can be worked out, I'd like to meet the non injured Chalnoth, get a deeper sense of their psychological baseline, what they value.

She paused, a pang of doubt pinching a tender nerve in her mind.

R'Ariel: If they are asking for help, then they just must value help on some level, unless it's a trap.

O'Malley/Ar'Gorvalei/MacKenna: Responses?

She played a cautious smile, as their very capable intel office left for her duties.  She didn't like throwing shade on the motives of a group she hadn't met.  However, unlike her other medical colleagues, as Counselor, she also had a duty to the ship to seek and provide counsel to the intents of those the ship encountered, whenever possible.

O'Malley/Ar'Gorvalei: Responses?

One thing she did wholly take comfort in, she was surrounded by the best.  She knew Dr Ar'Gorvalei well enough to put her life in his hands any time.  O'Malley, while she didn't know her as well, the time they had spent together told her enough to know this ship needed her, and all that she had to offer. Of course, MacKenna, if anyone could wring facts about these Chalnoth out, it would be her.
