((Dinning Hall - Norsel Corp - Uwe II))
((First post got messed up; this is a repost and takes place before Niev's response.))
Saavei took in their new environment as soon as they'd been brought in, looking for any potential escape routes. Doing her best to remember how they'd gotten here. As far as abductions and arrests went, it had been a mostly polite affair. They had confiscated her tricorder, unfortunately. Its concealed pocket in her sleeve hadn't been hidden enough to prevent that. Whether they could operate it or use it was another matter. She doubted the Uwe could... but was more curious about any potential third parties. How else had they known about Starfleet unless someone had told them?
There seemed nothing to do for now but wait as they were left in the meeting room. Saavei could hear more guards outside, as well. So far her first mission at her duty station was proceeding... in a different direction than she imagined it. She almost felt... excited. A curious emotion, given the circumstances. She would analyze it later and suppressed it for now.
Saavei took a seat as well, sitting upright and folding her hands together atop the table in front of her. There was a smell of something floral on the air, which tickled the back of her sinuses.
Wong: Well…. We did always say we wanted a word with Norsel. I just didn’t exactly picture it this way.
Saavei: Nor did I. We are fortunate for this opportunity, regardless of the circumstance.
Hopper/Galanis: Response.
Wong: Hopefully, he’ll be interested in having a conversation with us. It feels like he’s already put in a bit of effort to bring us here. I’m hoping it will pay off.
Saavei: I believe you are correct ::she glanced to one of the guards then back to her team:: We shall know shortly.
Hopper/Galanis: Response.
Before they could say anything more, another Uwezo had entered the room. Norsel? Saavei didn't know what he looked like.
Wong: Well, if it isn’t our man of the hour! I suppose we’ve been expecting each other.
Saavei: Norsel, I presume?
Hopper/Galanis/Norsel: Response.
Ikaia stole a quick glance at the guards.
Wong: I wasn’t aware that we would be needing an escort to meet you.
Saavei held her tongue at the moment. She was studying Norsel and his body language. His tone. His words. Attempting to gauge some of his intent beyond words.
Hopper/Galanis/Norsel: Response.
Wong: I assume you didn’t just bring us here because you like us. You have something in mind, don’t you?
Saavei: I am curious if 'what you have in mind' is of your own volition or that of others.
Hopper/Galanis/Norsel: Response.
Norsel was smug. Elarappel had painted something of a mental picture regarding the man, and thus far, he wasn't disappointing. Considering he had them at the disadvantage for the time being, such arrogance could serve to make him over-confident. Perhaps his ego could be compelled to make him share more than he otherwise would have.
Saavei: You are cunning, Norsel. Clearly you have anticipated a great many details. Yet the end goal of this remains unclear; where do you benefit?
Wong/Hopper/Galanis/Norsel: Response?
This was going to make for an interesting log entry, for sure. Saavei mentally kept track of the guards locations. If things turned sour, how quickly she could help incapacitate one of them. Most humanoid and other animals possessed similar nerve clusters.
Saavei: I see.
