Ah yes. Stock day. The day that Graak and Olivia took stock over every item in the store and figure out what needed to be ordered and also, what was actually selling. It also meant pulling stuff out of the back rooms.

Olivia: How many stem bolts was that?

Bobded: I believe that was ohhh…. 120. I do think we need more of them. Engineers go crazy for them!

Olivia: Is that including the handful in the box that's labeled “stuff”?

And then there was that box. It was more or less a junk box that ended up with random items from throughout the store including the extra stem bolts.

Bobded: That does include those stem bolts too.

Olivia: Then there's that unexpected yacht delivery… the Telame?

Bobded: Ah yes. I was expecting that one! It was a trade-in. I haven’t had a detailed look personally. But I’m looking forward to a little walkabout.

Olivia: It's a fine ship from the outside. Would probably make a decent profit…

Graak flashed Olivia a smile.

Bobded: And that’s why I accepted the trade….

Before Graak could continue, he head the all too familiar jingle of the door chime before a familiar face walked in. Ah yes. This was the Orion he and Olivia had sold the Monochrome Majesty to and she was with a friend this time. Graak got up from where he had been sitting. He stood behind a pile of boxes and started walking.

Varati: ::annoyed sigh:: Hello? Anyone here?!

Varati: ::feigned annoyance:: He-ello! I made a special appointment with Bob... where is he? We agreed to meet at 10 o'clock, didn't we?

Saavei: It is ten-hundred standard hours now by Outpost time.

Olivia smiled back; were she and D'Cyra friends then?

Olivia: D'Cyra of Varati. And…

Saavei: Saavei of Vulcan.

Olivia: Our sincerest apologies for this, but we have been cataloguing finances and paperwork for the year, and we found a potential fault in the Monochrome Majesty's warp core's containment system.

Varati: That's the least you can do! By the Great Nallin! Anything could have happened to us out there in the nebula! I'm already paying an exorbitant price to lease this yacht, which would make any Ferengi blush with shame, and now this!

Saavei: The list of problems with the Monochrome Majesty are extensive. The containment system requires significant maintenance. The magnetic constrictors are old and the relays are on the verge of being fused. The ship should not be considered spaceworthy under such conditions.

Olivia: Don't worry. If you give us the keys so to speak, we can easily have a look and fix it if need-be if it's covered by your warranty. You did buy a warranty, didn't you?

Varati: Wa… Wa-… What!? Warranty? That was your rental agreement! Don't you have liability insurance? You're renting out yachts that aren't airworthy! My friend here happens to be a certified Starfleet engineer, so don't feed us any tall tales. Did you even look at our list of defects? I already told you last time that something was wrong with the yacht!

Saavei: Perhaps the FDC or Starfleet would be interested to know about the particulars of this incident?

Varati: Anyway... I could report the case to the aviation authority... but we don't want that, do we?

Graak, of course, was keeping an ear out for everything. It was good to see Olivia navigating dealing with customers. He circled around another stack of boxes. Quietly slinking his way over like smoke.

Saavei: We do not? ::she looked to D'Cyra, who was... making a... sad face?:: I am remain concerned about the situation as a whole.

Finally, it was time for Graak to step in. His bare feet making a soft “plap” sound as they slapped against the cool tile floors. The tiles were the only thing particularly cool about the shop. Everything else was kept a bit warmer. He didn’t fancy this place being breezy.

Bobded: Ladies, ladies, please! No need to be concerned. Just what seems to be the trouble?

And there he stood. In Betazoid’s finest wear that bare. It was only the most honest thing he could wear - his birthday suit.

Olivia: Responses?

Varati: Wouldn't it be a real shame if this case became public? I mean, it would hurt you more than me, Bob. I can call you Bob, can't I? ::pause:: You're the only yacht dealer for lightyears around... Just think of all the things that could have happened! It could have led to diplomatic complications with Orion and Vulcan. Would you have wanted to be responsible for that? Would you? - This could be quite damaging to your business. Do you even have an official license?

Saavei: No doubt Commanders Ukinix and Hopper would also have been... put out... if two of their officers were injured or lost in space due to faulty maintenance.

Bobded: Oh I can assure you that we are licensed and ready to serve whatever you desire. It is unfortunate that you had a little mishap with your rental. Of course, we will do what we can to assist with the situation.

Olivia: Responses?

Varati: I saw from the viewing platform earlier that a new yacht without any guests has arrived at Terminal B... does that belong to you too?

Saavei: I would hope that one has been better inspected than the Monochrome Majesty.

Not that one. Graak literally just got that ship in! And it certainly wasn’t up as a rental yet.

Bobded: Ah that particular acquisition just came in. However, it will be up for sale soon and if you’re interested, to check back in with us.

Sale only. No trade-ins for that one.

Olivia: Responses?

Saavei: I am sure you do not wish to see Federation regulators passing through your business.

Was that Vulcan seriously trying to threaten him?

Bobded: Oh I have nothing to hide. In fact, they are more than welcome to peruse my wares if they should so choose. Such as my keychains!

And with that, Graak picked up one of his Graak-shaped keychains. The googly eyes were always a fun touch. He gave it a shake.

Bobded: See? Everything jiggles!

Olivia/Varati: Response?

Saavei: Your ship systems will eventually suffer a catastrophic failure from lack of maintenance. On that day, criminal and civil liability may fall upon you. I could be persuaded to assist in making sure they are within tolerances.

Of course, that’s EXACTLY why everyone had to sign a waver. He wasn’t responsible for ship mishaps! After all, space is dangerous and generally wants everyone dead. How could he possibly accomodate for that anyways?

Bobded: I suppose since you are in possession of the Monochrome Majesty, you are entitled to do your own maintenance. After all, anything can happen while you’re in space!

Olivia/Varati: Response?

Saavei: D'Cyra would need to be properly compensated for her lease agreement and the Monochrome Majesty failing to meet expectations.

Graak flashed one of his charming smiles. That Vulcan was certainly one of his tougher customers.

Bobded: I would like to have a look over the Monochrome Majesty myself, if you will! For a small fee, of course.

Olivia/Varati: Response?

Bobded: After all, space can be rough on any star ship! A certain level of wear and tear can happen with one of these things. As you are well aware!

Olivia/Varati/Saavei: Response.

Bobded: Oh I’m sure we can work something out. After all, you had intended to have a day of fun with your new-to-you yacht. I think we can come to a suitable compromise.

Olivia/Varati/Saavei: Response.

Bobded: Olivia, can you get these two some coffee? And perhaps a little chocolate for the charming Vulcan?

But only a little! He had seen Vulcans get absolutely HAMMERED by chocolate consumption and he really didn’t want to clean up after a drunk Vulcan.

Olivia/Varati/Saavei: Response.
