((Terminal D, Amity Outpost))

Saelis was a curious person by nature. So of course one of the things that she took on as her personal mission was exploring the entire outpost before the next big mission came up. She’d been taking mental notes on what was going on in different parts of the outpost, and the MEEO had the word ‘engineering’ in it, so she had to check it out at some point.

Today was some point. So here she was, vibing in MEEO, marveling at the intricacies of the workflow of it all. Space mining. She’d never seen that with her own two eyes before.

Iko: Whatcha doin’ down here?

Bryn startled, not even having noticed someone beside her.

Bryn: Oh! Um. I’m just watching. oO why do I sound like I'm doing something wrong? I’m not. Chill out. Oo. What are you doing here?

Iko: Honestly I'm trying to see if I can get these guys to get some stuff from the asteroid field for me.

Bryn: Oh? Like what? ::she looked around, for a moment, before realizing that there were only so many things space miners could do for a person.:: Right. Never mind.

Iko: What was your name?

Bryn: I’m Saelis, sir. Ensign Saelis Bryn.

Bec smiled, and Bryn smiled back, a bit awkward.

Bryn: You sound familiar. We’ve talked, haven’t we, Sir?

Iko: You can just call me “Bec”. 

Bec glanced around, and Bryn looked too. She didn’t see anything, though.

Bryn: Okay, Bec. Nice to meet you.

Iko: Say, do you wanna go grab a coffee or something?

Bec had pointed with her thumb over her shoulder and towards the train line that would take them to the Grand Mezz. Bryn nodded, because she did like coffee. 

Bryn: I’d love coffee. Do you have any non-compiled? I hate compiler food.

Iko: Response.

The two of them made their way back to the train line station and Bryn let her superior enter first. 

Bryn: After you, Bec.

Iko: Response.

Bryn: How long have you been in Starfleet? What about the Amity?

Iko: Response.
