"Punctuality is a virtue..." another old saying. She'd left extra early and, of course, got on the wrong train... She'd never learn. And the purple line, naturally, only went back to the Habitat Ring and not any further down.
That, of course, ruined her carefully laid plans. She'd spent far too long in front of her wardrobe again, pondering. She was never quite sure what to wear to a counselling session. The uniform? Formal or more casual attire? Would she unintentionally give the wrong impression otherwise? But she couldn't ask, because that would embarrass her by admitting she was even thinking about such trivial matters...
D’Cyra had finally decided on a black pencil skirt and a formal black silk blouse with set-in sleeves. Stylistically, it resembled a uniform while still appearing serious. With the top buttons undone, revealing her gold leaf necklace, it didn't look too severe. But the heels once again proved to be an Achilles' heel in the truest sense of the word: walking quickly was impossible in them.
1005 ... she actually wanted to be here at 0955. And she didn't even know Giellun tr'Khev yet. She had built a tentative foundation of trust with Leyla, and now she had to start all over again. Romulans and Orions... well, that was always a wild back and forth of trade and conflict.
D’Cyra took another deep breath and then entered the counsellor’s office.
Varati: ::with a honest and open smile:: Good morning, Counsellor! ::a light sigh:: I must apologize, I'm late. I've gone to the upper medical center first... I hope you can forgive me.
tr’Khev: Response
D’Cyra let her gaze wander briefly around the room. Unlike at Layla's, there was no "craft corner" here. Then she looked back at Giellun. How old could he be? He still seemed youthful, although a few wrinkles were already visible here and there... And somehow his face seemed familiar – but that could just be coincidence. She smoothly lowered herself onto the cantilever chair opposite the desk.
Varati: Thank you very much, that's very kind of you. That’s right, I am D’Cyra, D’Cyra Varati.
tr’Khev: Response
The typical questions, yes, you had to go through them every time.
Varati: I last spoke to your colleague Layla Nevark. But while she’s away, I’d be happy to visit you for a session. ::smiles:: We talked about the "circle of responsibility"...
oO another Achilles heel besides the heels... Oo
