((Grand Mezzanine, Amity Outpost - A few hours before the Culture Festival))
Wong: Okay. I want you two to remember - Aloha is both hello and goodbye. So feel free to use it both ways and also, mahalo means thank you. Those are the two big ones you’re going to have to know….
Ikaia was busy helping Wixii and her twin brother Wox set up the Hawaiian lū'au booth. He had been teaching them a few words to add to the authenticity of their booth. In all, it was a team effort. The way the booth had come together in such a short period of time had Ikaia proud. He took one last look over the booth before he heard his commbadge chirp at him. As he was in full garb already, Ikaia reached down to his hips to where his badge was clipped and smacked it.
Fargo: =/\= This is Ensign Fargo requesting a medical team… immediately ::He gulped down a belch.:: please …=/\=
Wong: =/\=This is Lieutenant Wong. I’m on my way. Just hold on! =/\=
He glances back at the Talaxians at his booth before grabbing his medkit and his PADD. This had to be the strangest way he has ever answered a call. This Ensign Fargo had better be ready for a Klingon dressed in full hula garb tending to him.
Wong: Alright. Duty calls. I’ll be back later.
And with that, he went to track down where that signal originated from….
((The Flight Inn (Under Construction) - Merchant District (Also Under Construction) - Amity Outpost))
…. And almost wished he hadn’t. This was in one of the areas of the outpost that was still in the middle of renovation. Eventually, this was going to be another merchant district. But right now, it was just a mess of construction debris and at times, just a straight up mess. Ikaia reached up and rubbed his forehead ridges. At this point, he was glad he made it here on sandals instead of barefoot.
oOWhat the heck is Fargo doing all the way out here?Oo
The structure in front of him looked like it was some sort of hotel. But it was clearly at least half under construction. Perhaps it may have been pulled from pieces of another station? But didn’t Amity come from….? Ikaia stopped dwelling on it. Someone in there needed his help. He walked up to the entrance and opened the door. The lobby was dusty and covered in construction debris. There was no one present.
Wong: Hello? This is Lieutenant Wong. Chief Medical Officer. Is there anyone here?
There was no reply.
Wong: Aloha?
Silence
He was starting to wonder if this was some sort of trap. His guard was already up as he looked around him. He was most certainly prepared to duck out of here should there be no patient. He pulled out his PADD and looked up the last location of the signal and continued walking. Unease gripped at him as he walked down the darkened halls. He found his hand wrapping tightly around the shoulder strap of his medkit.
Ikaia was about to turn the next hall when he heard noise further up the way. He ducked behind a scaffold with a tarp draped over it. He quietly strained his ears to listen. To him, these individuals did NOT sound like construction workers. He cautiously peered around the scaffold to see one Tellerite and an Orion with their backs turned to him. Unfortunately, they were right in front of the room Ikaia needed access to.
oOWhy do I have the weird feeling I don’t want to be caught by either one of those two?Oo
Ikaia looked around down at his feet for any source of distraction. Instead, he found a large screw. He picked that up in his hands and peered around the scaffold again. He chucked the screw as hard and as far as he could. It went sailing over the heads of the two shady individuals causing a sound further up the hall. As soon as they left, Ikaia snuck up to the door.
Wong: ::Whispering:: Computer. Emergency entry. Chief Medical Officer Ikaia Wong.
Checking over his shoulders one more time, he entered the hotel room.
((Fargo’s Hotel Room - The Flight Inn - Merchant’s District - Amity Outpost))
The room appeared hastily furnished and not a single piece of it modern. It seemed to him squatters have already taken up roosting here. He was certainly going to have to notify someone later on about this. Glancing over the scene, he saw a poor nude ensign passed out on the floor with his uniform tossed haphazardly by the side of the bed. Ikaia quietly made his way over.
Crouching beside Fargo, he rolled him into the recovery position and opened his medkit. He wasn’t sure why the ensign was just in his birthday suit. But he made a mental note of it. Something was clearly amiss here. He pulled his tricorder out and started scanning Fargo. He looked over the scans he was getting back. There was certainly a drug in Fargo’s system. But the tricorder couldn’t identify it. That meant he’d have to send samples back to the labs in order to have it properly analyzed. But for now, he knew he could safely use a neural stimulator on Fargo to bring him back around without worrying about drug contraindications. Ikaia pulled the stimulator from his medkit and affixed it to Fargo’s forehead. He turned it on and waited for Fargo to come around
Fargo: Response.
Wong: Hello, sleepyhead. Nice to have you back. My name is Lieutenant Ikaia Wong. I’m the Chief Medical Officer and I’m here to help. How are you feeling?
Fargo: Response.
Ikaia looked down at his garb for a moment. He was dressed less like a medical officer and more like an ancient Hawaiian warrior.
Wong: Uhh… I know this wasn’t what you were expecting. But at least you get to enjoy a little bit of what we have on offer at the Culture Festival. ::A small smile:: Anyways, how long have you been feeling like that? What do you remember?
Fargo: Response.
Wong: Not exactly fun now is it? I’m going to treat you and get you stable enough to be taken to the Medical Centre. Now tell me, can you move?
Fargo: Response.
Wong: Just take it easy, okay? I’m prepared to carry you if you feel like you can’t at any point. If you feel like you need to vomit again, tell me. I’ll see what I can do to help.
Fargo: Response
