((Bridge, USS Independence-B - Approaching the edge of Trenvonn space))

Ukinix: ::Quietly to Ikaia and Layla:: Take the Gatineau, go rendezvous with that Trenvonn ship, give that Starfleet officer what they need, then get them out. Keep things diplomatic, these are neighbours and I’m sure the FDC wants to keep it that way.

Ikaia pushed himself up out of his seat.

Nevark: Guess it’s time to go.

Wong: Don’t worry. We’ve got this.

And with that, Ikaia joined Nevark and left the bridge.

((Gatineau, en route to Trenvonn Ship O’Ran))

Ikaia took the seat next to Nevark. He hadn’t worked closely with her all that much. If anything, there was a distance between the two of them that he hadn’t noticed until now. He had been focused on a great many things from work to exams and then some that it had somehow slipped under his radar until now. Perhaps this was a good opportunity to rectify that?

Nevark: So is this a one or both of us fly this thing type deal?

Ikaia shrugged.

Wong: It’s more of a “whoever wants to fly can” sort of thing. So do you want to take us out or should I?

She smiled at him. Rather than this being decided through rock, paper, scissors,  she took control.

Nevark: Well hopefully this is going to be smooth then.

And with that, they pulled away from the Indy-B and were now engulfed in the inky blackness of space.

Wong: It’s medicine. You always hope it’s going to be smooth but you have to prepare as if it isn’t. It’s about keeping an eye on all the angles.

Nevark: Well I am assuming you take the lead on physical and I take the lead on any mental or trauma things? I did train as an MD as well as a counsellor so hopefully I can be of assistance to you but I haven’t practiced medicine in that way for a while.

Ikaia nodded.

Wong: That’s what I’m thinking. As it is already, I’m not entirely sure what we’re walking into.

Nevark: Response.

Wong: It’s odd. We shouldn’t have anyone out here. The fact that it hasn’t caused a diplomatic incident yet is nothing short of a miracle.

Nevark: Response.

Wong: As far as I know the Trenvonn, they may seem calm but I wouldn’t get on the wrong side of them. I’ve seen what happens when you do.

Nevark: Response.

Wong: Well, I had all the beneficial bacteria essentially deleted from my system by being hit with one of their probes. Imagine not being able to digest anything.

Nevark: Response.

Wong: It’s as brutal as it sounds.

Nevark: Response.

(OOC: happy to backsim more here but thought it made sense in the 20 mins that they would start to make a plan.)
