Seleya: Both entertaining and useful, though I think more often the perspectives of cultures come from the viewpoint of a more masculine leaning individual, it would be nice to get a more feminine perspective on some of these cultures. But any species I should be aware of in the Delta Quadrant?
Jakarn nodded, thoughtfully. Her comment was a good one, he thought; he’d have to look into some way to better document a variety of experiences. There were few species and cultures so happy to openly discuss these topics as the Risians, on whom he’d written quite a few works.
He would miss them. It’d been some time since he’d been so far from Risa. The whole planet had a mood of joy and openness that made them unique indeed.
Jakarn: Mmm. For the Delta, I’d only really worry about some of the rarer folks. The Vaadwuar and Hyrogen should be safe enough; don’t swallow anything from the Turei.
Seleya: Oh? What happens if I swallow?
Jakarn: Higher-than-standard levels of arsenic compounds in their tissues and fluids. Not a good thing to have…too much of, shall we say.
Seleya: Hmm.. that makes sense. So I will make sure I spit and not swallow.
Jakarn laughed, shaking his head.
Jakarn: Hah! Smart. But a dental dam would do wonders, too…
Seleya: Do you know much about the Kobali? They seem interesting, but given the manner of their ‘rebirth’, is there anything I should know about if I were to come across one?
Jakarn: The Kobali…
He lounged against the bar, swirling his drink. The Kobali were an interesting quandary from this perspective; and he did have to strain his memory, digging deep into old, old memories.
Jakarn: Mmm. I’m not sure. But given the…transition…I wouldn’t ingest anything. I imagine it might depend on the body’s origin species, too, but the details of their process are arcane and guarded. I’ll have to track them down and find out, I think.
Seleya: I will keep that in mind. Got any good clubs to recommend while I am here? I haven’t found too much interest. The station seems weirdly more empty than others I have been in.
Jakarn: She’s a relatively new station, and the clubs are…mm. ::He sipped his drink, a little smirk playing across his face.:: Typical, I suppose. The Three Stripes is decent, but I’m afraid most of the clubs are….
Seleya: Response
Jakarn: I would put it as ‘for all comers’, perhaps. They serve drinks, and play music. Anything more specialized…that, I’m afraid, we are currently quite far from.
Seleya: Response
Jakarn: Mmm. Depending on how long I stay, I might try to get something interesting going. Variety, and all.
