Wong: As for you, would it be okay if I looked you over?

She puffed her feathers a little.

Shanaak: In my society, Lieutenant Wong, refusal of an offered scientifically proven medical treatment is considered not only bad etiquette, but potentially fatal. Administer the treatment.

Ikaia was hesitant to use the hypo on her without checking. He quickly brought out his tricorder to give her a quick scan. When he was satisfied, he then administered the hypo. She’d be safe.

Shanaak: Quaint.

Ikaia raised an eyebrow. He wasn’t sure what she meant by that. But he let it go.

Saavei: ::Doing a second look at her screen, eyes narrowing:: Something is wrong.

It was then he heard the sounds of klaxons in the air as the lighting shifted from yellow to red. This was not good. Something was up. He stood up to have a look over as to what was going on.

Shanaak: It appears there is a secondary rift opening. Our faux attempt at entering underspace has--

Thankfully, Ikaia was at a nearby console as he grabbed onto it to prevent himself from being flung. His hands gripped into the metal plating and he could feel it start to crumple and twist in his hands. It all happened so fast, he didn’t even fully grasp the chaos that was surrounding him.

Wong: What the hell’s going on?!

Shanaak: The rift is growing, and that shockwave may not be the last--

The ship had not stopped its’ shaking. Crew was being flung about in a nauseatingly dizzy display of bodies and limbs. Ikaia’s grip tightened as the metal started twisting more under his hands.

Wong: Everyone, hold on!

Taelon: Son of a-

Taelon’s voice seemed to be cut short. He also couldn’t hear the Grand Expert anymore. Ikaia could just barely look around in the chaos. Taelon, Shanaak, and ARIA were all piled in a heap in what he could describe as the very definition of “not good.” The Grand Expert herself was absolutely limp and already Ikaia was very concerned. He let go of the console and went over to the pile of people.

Saavei: Commander, are you injured? ::She attempted to regain her footing, using the panel next to her for support:: Grand Expert?

Ikaia shot Saavei a look. The Grand Expert was very obviously injured! He crouched down next to Shanaak and Taelon. He already had his tricorder out to assess the damage.

Wong: Saavei, I think this is the very definition of injured.

Taelon: I’m - ::Fine wasn’t the word.:: I think she’s been knocked out, Doctor -

Ikaia held his hand out.

Wong: Don’t move her yet. And in fact, you shouldn’t move either until it’s safe to do so.

The biggest concern other than Shanaak’s head was her next. Considering how long it was, he hoped like hell she didn’t break it. In birds back on earth, that could be a death sentence. He wasn’t sure it was the same deal here. But he didn’t want to risk it either. He was scanning her first.

Taelon: S-saavei, status?

Saavei: Life support is online. Shields are at seventy-percent. Ablative armor is intact. Propulsion is down and we lost both rear torpedo tubes. We are in Underspace.

At least Shanaak’s neck appeared to be fine according to his scans. He did learn that much like the birds on earth, Trenvonn appeared to also have pneumatic bones. Although, they did have thicker compact bone preventing them from being easily broken. That part was a relief. However, it did mean he could shift her off of Taelon and into the recovery position.

Wong: Taelon, you should be able to move. But please be careful. I want to look you over afterwards.

Given that triage was in full effect, he was going to have to treat Shanaak first and then Taelon. However, it appeared that Taelon had no plans on staying as he got to his feet.

The El-Aurian groaned as he wiggled free of Shaanak and shakily got to his feet. The Engineering consoles were upset, but mostly intact.

Taelon: Get - we need to get things repaired…hull breaches in sector 3, major radiation leaks in 6 and 7…

Saavei: Emergency force fields are holding. The crew will likely need further inoculations; attempting to adjust interior atmospheric pressure to vent more radiation outside the ship. Doctor, how badly injured is the Grand Expert?

Wong: The good news is that she’s very much alive and we may not have a diplomatic incident on our hands. Bad news is that she is concussed.

And the fact that more crew was going to need inoculations of hyronalin-lectrazine, he had his work cut out for him. He pulled out the cortical stimulator from his medkit and affixed it to Shanaak. That was step one - bringing her back.

Saavei: We need to get propulsion back online. If we cannot navigate in Underspace, the odds of additional hull breaches from debris increase exponentially. ::To one of the Crewman, as she pointed at him:: You. Get a repair kit and meet me by junction B. The rest of you crew members attend the warp drive. Ensure we have warp available and anything else Commander Taelon or the Bridge orders.

Saavei disappeared into a hatch. Likely to work on repairs to get propulsion back online. They could tell so much from their consoles. But the bridge had an actual set of eyes up as to what was actually taking place. There was no better point than now to check in.

Wong: =/\=Wong to Bridge - what’s going on up there? =/\=

Bridge/Saavei/Taelon/Shanaak(?): Response.

Ikaia started patching up the superficial wounds on Shanaak. He sighed.

Wong: =/\=Things are going as swimmingly as they can down here if you don’t count the fact that propulsion is out and we have some radiation leaks on decks 6 and 7. I’m going to strongly recommend you get some hyronalin-lectrazine doses going up there.=/\=

Bridge/Saavei/Taelon/Shanaak(?): Response.

((OOC: I am also up for backsiming!))

Now that he was satisfied that the Grand Expert was going to be okay, Ikaia had went over to look after Taelon. It was now his turn for a check up.

Wong: Alright. Taelon, it’s your turn. I won’t interfere. But I do need to look you over.

Taelon/Shanaak: Responses

Saavei emerged from her burrow of cables, sliding backwards. She regained her feet and tapped her combadge.

Saavei: =/\= Saavei to Bridge, you have maneuvering thrusters. Impulse power will be restored shortly. =/\= ::She looked to Taelon as she returned to her station and pulled up the impulse engine diagram:: Any updates, sir?

Wong: Along with Saavei’s question, I have one of my own here - how are you feeling?

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge: Responses

Saavei: That complicates matters. Rerouting power now. ::Her fingers played across LCARS like a classically trained pianist::

Saavei: =/\= Bridge, impulse power has been restored via the secondary couplings. =/\=

Ikaia took out the dermal regenerator and started to touch up some of the more superficial injuries.

Wong: Just don’t move around too much. My hands may be steady but I’d prefer not to have a moving target.

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge: Responses

Saavei: Perhaps we should inspect the rear torpedo tubes. If they have fully collapsed, they will need to be repaired at the Outpost. Perhaps one or both only suffered obstructing damage which could be cleared. The hull breach on deck four may limit our access, however, or necessitate environment suits. Your thoughts, Commander?

Ikaia held up his finger.

Wong: Hold on a sec. If you’re planning to head up to deck four, I’m going to remind you that at least one of you has a concussion, one of you has been knocked silly and we don’t have a Trenvonn sized EV suit.

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge: Responses

Ukinix: =/\= Bridge to Engineering. What’s our warp status? =/\=

Ikaia paused. He looked at Saavei and Taelon. By all accounts, they looked like they could do warp. But this ball was in Saavei’s court. He nodded to her and mouthed the words “answer him.”

Taelon/Saavei: =/\= Response =/\=

Wong: Okay. So thoughts on those torpedo tubes - is there an alternate route where we can bypass the hull breach without needing EV suits?

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge(?)/Saavei: Response

Ikaia felt that his patch job on Taelon should work for now. He put his equipment back into his medkit and walked over to the nearest console to pull up a map.

Wong: Let’s see if we can find another solution here.

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge(?)/Saavei: Response

He looked over the map and studied it. He pointed to a series of jefferies tubes.

Wong: What about heading up this way? There’s going to be some climbing involved. But it’s doable.

oOAnd at least one of us is going to have to carry the Grand Expert. I’m not so sure how well she’d handle a climb in her condition….Oo

Which was an intimidating thought. He wasn’t sure this was the best way to pick up (Trenvonn) chicks.

Taelon/Shanaak/Bridge(?)/Saavei: Response
