It’s been a crazy hour or so. I’ve taken the Gatineau-II myself, retrieved Stros, Lael, D’Cyra and Kaito from Uwe II, and dropped off three of them back on the Indy so they can try and intercept those Hovan cloaked vessels, and stop them getting to Uwe II.
Jansen is currently trying to “un-Uwezo” Lael so that the Hovans don’t know we sent our people there. Apparently those missing ships were stolen according to them, but they’ve allowed us to investigate, so I’m sending Lael and Jansen to help Bec and Aitas.
And why was I the one to take the Gatineau myself, you might ask? Because I’m going to try and reason with the Hovan military commander, uniform to uniform, to get Keehani and Annamae released out of detention. Talk about chaos.
So stuff the “protect the CO” policy I reckon, and if anyone actually listens to these log entries and objects, come get me from your Ivory tower in ‘Cisco. It’s operational policy mutiny o’clock, and Amity’s on the menu, champs! //

Initially Wil had an absolute ball at helm, getting the opportunity once again to show that he *could* in fact pilot a vessel when urgently needed.
Everything was going smoothly! Apart from the skimming of the Uwe II atmosphere too closely, the “coming in too hot” manoeuvre when dropping off Stros, Kaito and D’Cyra by transporter at the Indy, the jaw-gnawing bumps and jumps when warping towards the Hovan systems for reasons unknown (that Wil simply blamed on non-existent “space air pockets”), and the initial setting up of the navigation controls incorrectly that almost had them heading in the direction of Kazon space.
That’s when he handed over helm to Lael, while Jansen continued to un-weave his previous magic to restore Lael from Uwezo to her Al-Leyan/Human glory.
Ukinix: Wow, Commander, you’re looking like you’re almost back to normal!

Ukinix: Okay, here’s the deal. ::To Lael:: Commander, The Hovans have given us a chance to prove we didn’t take their ships, but we’ll be closely monitored. You’re in charge once you and Jansen get down there, Bec and Aitas will join you once you give them the all clear.

Ukinix: Don’t worry about your combadges, we’ve registered them now officially with the Hovan government, they’ve been approved. Why they didn’t tell us about that in the first place... two ships go missing, they suddenly lock up two of our people, and there’s unrest on Uwe II?

The ship dropped out of warp, approaching the white ice planet Hova III.
