With everyone given their assignments, Rivi turned to look at all of the faces gathered around the large conference table in her office.

Vataix: Great, well in that case, there's just one more thing, everyone...

She cocked her head towards Wil.

Vataix: ~~ Ahem. Wil. The ribbons! ~~

As Wil got up to retrieve the box of ribbons that he and Rivi had gone over in the last few days, the blonde ambassador stood up and folded her hands together.

Vataix: We launched this station with a bit of a diplomatic crisis right out of the gate. But thanks to all of your efforts and the commitment to hearing all sides and doing what's right, we were able to find common ground with a new species and even help protect spacebourne wildlife while still ensuring the livelihood of the miners who have come out here. So on that note, I think it's time to officially recognize your achievements.

She gestured towards Kivik.

Vataix: First, as you all no doubt have seen, our senior science officer is now Lieutenant Junior Grade Kivik.

Kivik: Response

Any: Response

Vataix: Lieutenant Kivik, would you come up here, along with Bec, Scotty, and Ceciri.

Kivik: Response

Iko: Response

Reade: Response

Once the four of them had walked up to Rivi, she turned and smiled. Wil walked back over, carrying the box. She opened the lid and looked over the various assembled ribbons.

Vataix: For your work in creating a drone that could attract the Hawlat angels and safely guide them, I hereby award all four of you the Innovation Ribbon.

Kivik: Response

Iko: Response

Reade: Response

Ariadust: Response

She went down the line, pinning the ribbons on each of their uniforms before they stepped away back to their seats.

Vataix: Next, I'd like Dr. Orrey, Mr. Daniels, John, and Ikaia to step foward.

Orrey: Response

Daniels: Response

Carter: Response

Ikaia: Response

Vataix: You gentlemen were instrumental in diffusing a possibly hostile situation with the Hawlat pilgrims. For your efforts, I am proud to award you the Diplomacy Ribbon.

Orrey: Response

Daniels: Response

Carter: Response

Ikaia: Response

Vataix: Next, I'd like Ensign Paarus to step forward.

Paarus: Response

Vataix: Ensign, you came aboard Amity and were put into action from the first downbeat of the conductor's baton. For helping lead more than a thousand Hawlat angels away from Amity safely, I'm pleased to award you the Captain's Commendation.

Paarus: Response

As she went to grab the ribbon, she took a second one as well.

Vataix: And actually, Wil, you're getting one as well, along with Ms. Toliver. See that she's notified.

Ukinix: Response

Vataix: Finally, we owe much gratitude to the work of Dr. Aleksandrov, whose discovery that natural emissions from the creatures could be used to track them. Dr. Aleksandrov, I'm most pleased to award you the Scientific Discovery Ribbon.

Aleksandrov: Response

She waited for the doctor to come up and Rivi took the last ribbon and pinned it to the woman's blouse.

Vataix: Perhaps a presentation of the Hawlat angels at the expo is in order later?

Aleksandrov: Response

Any: Response

Once everyone returned to their seats, Rivi looked back at her staff and smiled before putting her hands out.

Vataix: Okay, thank you everyone! We have a lot of work to do before we welcome our guests. This is probably the biggest social event I've ever hosted... but I know with all of you working to put it together, it's going to be magnificent. ::She clapped her hands together.:: Let's get the work started!
