((Chief of Mission's Accommodations, Beijing District, Amity Outpost, Night of Wil Ukinix's Promotion Party))With the celebrations for Amity Outpost's newest commander winding down, Tidrid went ahead and began cleaning up some of the refreshments while letting the last few guests mingle. He looked over seeing Ukinix speaking with his former shipmates from the Veritas and smiled. He still had his reservations about the organization, unlike his wife, but Tidrid had grown to like Wil. He made a note to get to know the man better in the coming Federation year. Rivi was always encouraging him, anyway, making all sorts of suggestions for "play dates" between Tidrid and Wil, though Tidrid always seemed to find a "First Gentleman of Amity" duty that required him to decline.
Speaking of his wife, where was she?
He put away some dishes before walking towards the back of the home where the master bedroom was. He noticed the red wine stain from earlier that night in the hallway that he'd had trouble cleaning. He'd have to see if there was something the computer could recommend.
When he entered his and Rivi's bedroom, he found some blonde hair peeking out from underneath thick bedding.
Vataix: Zzzzzzzz...
He walked up over to the side of the bed, glancing down.
Tidrid: ~~ Ahem. ~~
Vataix: Zzzzzzz... ~~ Zzzzzzz... ~~
He leaned over the ambassador-shaped pile of blankets on the bed.
Tidrid: ~~ I of course would never dare to tell the great Rivi Vataix how to run a social event... but there are still guests in the house. ~~
Vataix: ~~ Guests? ~~
Rivi's eyes opened suddenly underneath the covers, and she sat up suddenly, bumping into Tidrid.
Tidrid: Ow!
Rivi pushed down the covers and turned to Tidrid, an apologetic look on her face.
Vataix: ~~ Oh, I'm sorry, imzadi! But you said Wil's here? With his friends? ~~
Tidrid: ~~ Yes, although I think they're all about to say good-bye- ~~
But before he could finish, she kissed him hard and suddenly jumped out of bed and headed out the doorway back towards the main living space.
Tidrid, still confused a bit at what just happened, finally sighed. Being married to a Federation ambassador and more importantly, a Daughter and Matriarch Ascendant of the Eleventh House of Betazed was a full-time job.
No wonder he felt like he needed a nice, long sonic shower to relax. He took off his clothes, throwing it into the replicator before putting on a comfortable bath robe and began walking towards the bathroom. As he headed towards the bathroom door, though, he saw a familiar looking young woman closing it. Before he could say anything, though, she had spun around and was now looking right at his bare chest visible underneath the robe.
Hopper: ::Startled:: AAH! Oh my god…
Tidrid: Robber? What were you doing in there...
Hopper: Sorry… ::Clutching her boot:: I… I’ve had a crazy da– um, last few minutes. But I’m fine now. I’m just on my way out.
As she began moving around him to get out of the room, he turned, watching her for a moment. Did Rivi and Robin take a break from the party together?
Tidrid: Um, did you get everything?
Hopper: ::Glancing down at the boot in her arms:: Oh, um, no luck I’m afraid. I may need to come back in the morning, if that’s alright.
Tidrid: Sure...
Hopper: Thank you Tidrid. Good luck with that red wine stain! I hear club soda helps!
As she darted quickly out of the room, Tidrid again for the second time found himself confused at just what happened. He sighed once more and then went into the bathroom, ready more than ever for his shower.
((A few days later: Papa Rahm’s Pizza - Mezzanine, Amity Outpost))
Tidrid walked arms interlocked with his wife as they ventured through the Grand Mezzanine. Shop staff and patrons liked smiled and nodded as they saw Amity's First Couple walk by. After nodding back at a Bolian barber standing in the doorway of a salon, Tidrid turned to Rivi.
Tidrid: What is this we're going to again?
The cheery Betazoid woman kept her eyes forward, eager to find their destination.
Vataix: A pizza parlor!
Tidrid: A what?
Vataix: *Pi-tzah!* It's some kind of Earth pie made with cheese.
Tidrid: Oh, like a cheesecake? So this is a dessert shop. ::nods:: Like an ice cream parlor.
Rivi smiled and shrugged.
Vataix: I guess... I've never had one before! But it's fun to say... pi-tzah... pi-tzah...
Tidrid: Mmmm, I don't know if that's the best way to judge food.
They arrived at the pizza restaurant and as Rivi looked around, she saw Ikaia waving them down.
Wong: Aloha, Ambassador! Over here!
Vataix: Hi, Ikaia! I invited Tidrid along as well.
Wong: Good to see you! I hope you don’t mind pizza!
Tidrid shrugged with a chuckle as he and Rivi sat down with the Klingon chief medical officer.
Tidrid: I don't know if I do!
Vataix: Oh, stop it, imzadi. Whatever it is, it will be an *adventure*.
As she got settled in, Ikaia looked over at her.
Wong: I think the last time we really got together was when you invited us over for dinner. Anyways! How have you been?
Vataix: Much better! Now that everyone's in the right place...
Wong: Response
A waiter came to take their drink order, and Rivi asked for a lemonade while Tidrid just specified water.
Vataix: And how are things with you, Ikaia?
Wong: Response
Vataix: ::nods:: Can you believe it's already been more than a year since Amity opened?
Wong: Response
Vataix: Do you have any plans for the Federation New Year? It's the big 2-4-0-0 after all.
Tidrid scoffed lightly.
Tidrid: For *one* particular planet that is. One particularly self-important planet, that is...
He looked over at Wong with a small smirk.
Tidrid: No offense.
