((Bridge, USS Independence-B - Approaching the edge of Trenvonn space))
Ukinix: ::Quietly to Ikaia and Layla:: Take the Gatineau, go rendezvous with that Trenvonn ship, give that Starfleet officer what they need, then get them out. Keep things diplomatic, these are neighbours and I’m sure the FDC wants to keep it that way.
Layla nodded to Wil and looked to Wong.
Nevark: Guess it’s time to go.
Wong: Response
Quietly they made their exit and were about to find out just what was going to face them there.
((Gatineau, en route to Trenvonn Ship O’Ran))
Walking on board the Gatineau Layla setting herself in a seat.
Nevark: So is this a one or both of us fly this thing type deal?
She let out a nervous chuckle. She was okish at flying if the route was relatively simple which this was from what she understood.
Wong: Response
Layla nodded and offered a smile to Wong.
Nevark: Well hopefully this is going to be smooth then.
As they pulled away from the Independence-B without any issues Layla let our a small sigh of relief. These bits where they part she had always been bad at but so far so good.
Wong: Response
Nevark: Well I am assuming you take the lead on physical and I take the lead on any mental or trauma things? I did train as an MD as well as a counsellor so hopefully I can be of assistance to you but I haven’t practiced medicine in that way for a while.
Wong: Response
(OOC: happy to backsim more here but thought it made sense in the 20 mins that they would start to make a plan.)
((Trenvonn Ship O’Ran))
As Layla took her steps on board the ship for the first time she could feel a sense of unease in the air. It raced through her blood as she took it all on. The Trenvonn were a species who from what she knew liked to keep themselves to themselves. She wasn’t sure how many had seen the patient but right now they were seeing two different species in front of them likely for the first time. Hostile felt like maybe too harsh a word for it but it still seemed fitting.
Naarax: Response
Nevark: Hello, I am Lieutenant Layla Nevark of Amity Outpost. We are here for the Starfleet officer you are treating to assist further.
Wong: Response
Naarax: Response
The tension didn’t seem to lift as much as she had hoped.
Newark: We are thankful that the High Council have allowed us permission to attend and assist with the treatment. Could you possibly lead the way?
Wong/Naarax: Response?
((Medical Facility, Trenvonn Ship O’Ran - 20 minutes later))
The walk to the medical facility was in an eary silence. It seemed their hosts wanted them in and out. It made sense to Layla given their nature but it still didn’t seem like a situation that was somehow going to end to the benefit of everyone. There seemed a lot of judgement, disapproval even in the air as they walked past various people.
Whilst she normally worked to shut off her reading of others emotion she was allowing a small level in right now. She wanted to feel more prepared for what was coming next and from what she could tell so far it was not necessarily a positive thing they were here.
The doors to the medical facility slid open, and Layla followed Naarax into the space. She could see now Seleya was deeply in need of medical treatment. This was one of the times she was glad she had her MD as well as a PhD in counseling. At least she might be of some help beyond trauma and psychological assessment.
Naarax: Lieutenant Junior Grade Seleya of Khanda. It seems the High Council have made the rare move of allowing your colleagues into our space.
Layla offered a soft smile to the Trenvonn in front of her hoping that they understood a smile was a positive and friendly facial expression to be presented to them. Body language could be so different across cultures that it was sometimes one of the hardest things to use to convey the ability to trust each other.
Naarax: You may treat your colleague as needed, and then return to neutral space as soon as possible, such that we may return to our studies. A decision will be made by the High Council as to whether Seleya of Khanda can return with you.
Layla paused before she responded. Was this a suggestion that they were not going to let them take Seleya with them? There was only so much they could bring with them if they needed to get her out for further treatment were they going to be able to?
Nevark: We will work to the best of our abilities.
She purposefully did not address the concern around Seleya being able to leave with them as of yet. Right now getting Seleya in a better shape was important and once that had been done they could broach what was clearly about to become a diplomatic decision over getting Seleya out of there.
Wong/Seleya: Response
Layla looked to Wong to take the lead on the physical concerns. At first impression despite the physical harm Seleya seemed to be relatively calm, present and aware of the situation which meant the physical was the primary concern for her right now.
Yrnans: I can share my telemetry thus far with you.
As the Trevnonn provided them with the data Layla could feel the eyes on them as security watched on. She had told Wong it had been a while since she had practiced medicine in this way but also with security with weapons at her back she wasn’t sure was boosting her confidence through this.
She waited as Wong looked over the data and turned to Seleya.
Nevark: Hello, I am Layla. Can you tell me anything we need to know straight away?
Seleya: Response
Wong: Response
Layla looked to Wong then and asked what she needed to do now he was up to speed and they had the information they needed to make a start.
Nevark: First orders?
Seleya/Wong: Response
