Ikaia sat down himself and set his glass of wine aside.

As soon as he was able, he took up Ariadust's hand in his and looked over the wound. Already, he could see that it was a deep cut. But it didn't look like it had gone beyond the dermis. That was a good sign. That meant he could easily treat it here. But he really needed more supplies than what he had at the table and had brought with him.

Wong: I know this looks bad. But it's actually not as bad as it looks. The good news is that this can be treated here. But I'm seeing glass in the wound. What was the nature of the accident?

Ariadust: I snapped the reinforced railing in a bit of a moment of anger. ::wryly:: Wasn't paying attention to my strength, I suppose.

Tri'lea: I’m afraid it’s my fault. ::Trying to catch Ceciri’s gaze:: I surprised the Lieutenant with some… unhappy news.

Ikaia nodded. He was going to have to look into that later. But right now, this wound needed his attention. He disinfected his hands before pouring a glass of water. He was going to use that to irrigate the wound. Ikaia disinfected his hands before pouring a glass of water. He was going to use that to irrigate the wound.

Wong: Okay. There's a small favour I'm going to need here - I saw a first aid kit hanging up near the bar. I'm going to need that. I just have my dermal regenerator with me. ::To Ariadust:: How are you feeling, Lieutenant?

Ariadust: In pain? ::Ceciri said.:: A bit of a mix beyond that.

Tri’lea turned to Rei.

Tri'lea: Rei, would you be so kind?

Her attendant nodded, and swiveled towards the bar.

Wong: Thank you. ::To Ariadust:: Has this happened to you before?

Rei returned with the first aid kit and Wong got to work. Ikaia unpacked the kit and took out the painkillers, gauze, and some tweezers.

Wong: Alright. I’m just going to give you a painkiller to take away the pain while I get the glass out of this wound. Then I’m going to run the dermal regenerator over it and you should be as good as new.

And with that, he took the hypo of the painkiller and administered it to Ariadust.

Ariadust: Well.. it's something I'd like to think about before I talk to others. But yes, I've had moments like this. Not many. I think this is my second. And yes, the last time I also cut my hand something fierce.

Ikaia had Ariadust’s hand tilted over a patch of gauze before taking the glass of water he poured earlier and began pouring it into the wound to clean it out. After he was happy with that, he took the tweezers and started pulling out the glass.

Tri'lea: It looks as if you’ll mend well. Isn’t that the case, Doctor?

Wong: It is. The glass didn’t go down that far. It looks gory but I can assure everyone here that it just looks bad. But this will heal up well.

As soon as the last of the glass was pulled and placed on the gauze, Ikaia ran his dermal regenerator over the wound. It was times like these he was reminded that medicine was as much of a science as it was an art. It was very much like restoring a painting to its former glory. Watching the skin fuse together as if the injury didn’t happen was still a satisfying sight to him.

Ariadust: It was.. unavoidable. In any case, do I need to go to the Medical Centre tonight, or?

Wong: No. You don’t have to. You can enjoy the evening afterwards. But if you’re feeling unsure of something or if you are feeling unwell after this, please feel free to contact me and we can take another look at things.

He finished healing up the wound. He started touching each of Ariadust’s fingers to see if she could feel that.

Wong: Okay. Can you feel me touching your fingers? Also, think you can flex your hand for me?

Tri'lea: ::Relieved:: That is good news, then. Thank you, Lieutenant Wong, for your assistance.

Ariadust: Response

Ikaia packed everything up. He was satisfied with what he’s been able to do for Ariadust’s hand. But he wasn’t sure about her mental state. There was a certain strangeness to the air. He could see it in everyone’s body language. But without asking, he didn’t know what was going on. But he did at least give Ariadust a chance to speak to him at a later date in private should she choose to take him up on it.

Wong: You’re very welcome. As for you two, I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening. Remember, I’m just a comm call away if you need anything else.

With a smile and a polite nod, Ikaia left the pair to their own devices.
