Noticing Jansen loading up a hypospray, Kaito turned his neck to the side as he waited for the injection, only to raise an eyebrow as Jansen injected himself first, before administering his own medicine.

Orrey: Alright. We can begin the in depth exam.

Moore: Sure, Doctor. Granted, I must admit, I am kind of concerned that you had to inject yourself first.

Orrey: If I get sick we both are in trouble ::laughing:: but no you are still awfully radiated for someone who is “well”. I think something was missed.

The news had caught him off guard. He was fairly certain he did everything right after the storm, but clearly something was missed.

Moore: Wait, really?

Orrey: Best guess at the moment.

Moore: Ah, okay, so you never told me the good news. It isn’t, the good news is we can treat everyone you came in contact with, but you’re dead. Hence the not meeting a lot of people very quickly part?

He chuckled a little, dark humor seemed to fit. He knew he should be fine… should be fine, or it wasn't going to be his problem anymore. Granted, he stopped himself as that train of thought hit him. Even if it wasn’t his problem, it would be Charlena’s, and all of his friends’, for that matter, problem.

Orrey: Of course not the ‘lot of people quickly’ tour is responsible for emergent, and rapidly dissolving cases. You are just a little self destructive at the moment.

Moore: Well, at least it’s not that. ::Giving Jansen a shrug:: I can’t imagine how terrible it would be for Charlena. More so with what she’s going through right now.

He frowned a little, looking down for a moment. It would be a tragic irony, granted one perhaps deserved by Kaito. He sent her off, and nearly killed her… only to die due to his rescue effort. Luckily it wasn’t that, and in this moment Kaito decided to avoid more dark humor. At least for now.

He looked back at Jansen, a slight smile on his face as he pushed away the frown.

Jansen nodded his head as he leaned in close, staring at Kaito’s neck and jawline.

Orrey: She is going to need a lot of support. ::glancing up at him for a moment:: You know I have known Char for a long, long time, yes?

Moore: Yeah, she’s talked about it before.

Kaito didn’t resist as Jansen tipped his head forward, looking around the back of the neck and hairline before moving to the other side and examining his neck and jaw again.

Orrey: She has even done some undercover backup for me in the past. I trust her explicitly. 

Moore: That, she hasn’t talked about. Undercover work? Given what she did on the Klingon ship, I more than believe it.

He wouldn’t have doubted it anyway. Many wouldn’t expect a young Risian Engineer to be a fighter, but she was all that, and more. Granted, he also knew her workout routine and trained with her, so of course he wasn’t surprised.

The doctor seemed to be satisfied with his head and neck, or maybe dissatisfied due to not finding anything, given his looks at his biosignatures on the overhead readout, before moving on to examine his left hand.

Orrey: And you know about how her family history with medicine has been….rocky we will say politely.

Moore: Yeah, she has told me, at least about her younger brother and her mother. I’ve wondered if she and my mother would have any problems, given that Mom is a doctor. But… yeah, she has told me.

Orrey: Response

Kaito grew quiet for a moment, a slight frown coming across his face.

Moore: I imagine it is more than going to complicate her recovery too, but I’m glad you’re her doctor. I am not sure who else I would trust.

Orrey: Response

Moore: It’s going to be a hard road, but… I’m in it for the long haul. Going to support in every way possible. ::Looking up at Jansen:: But I’ll take any advice you have, because honestly… I can’t mess this up.

Orrey: Response
