((Three Stripes bar, Mezzanine, Amity Outpost))
Keehani: There you are!
Wil just about jumped from his stool when he felt a small amount of adrenalin suddenly pumping through his veins. A shiver ran through his body, before he placed his hand on his chest as he spotted his second cousin Keehani Ukinix briskly walking towards him.
Wil(H): Jesus, Keehani, you just about scared the crap-
Before he could say anything more, the Betazoid woman wrapped him up in a huge hug.
Keehani: ::Concerned tone:: Are you okay?
Wil(H): ::Muffled voice:: I will be when you let me out of this bear hug and I can breathe.
The First Secretary stepped back a little to observe him, but kept her hands on his shoulders, unable to keep from staring at him.
Wil(H): Keehani, there’s something I need to tell you. There was a transporter incident, and I’m not who you think I am-
Keehani: I know. I heard… and I can sense it. It’s like you’re ninety-five percent you.
Wil(H): ::Rolls eyes:: Thanks for the vote of confidence, “cousin”.
Keehani: No, no, that’s not what I meant-
Lost for words, she wrapped him up in a hug again, just like her grandmother Vaxa had done to her so many times.
Keehani: By the Four I’m just glad you’re alright, cousin.
Somehow, from somewhere under the tangled arms of his second cousin’s embrace of concern, Wil managed to get an arm out and patted Keehani on the back to physically indicate “thank you”.
Finally, Keehani stepped back again and observed Wil once more. He leaned forward to take a sip out of one of the two perfectly symmetrically positioned straws of his pina colada that was sitting on the stylish polished blue metal bar.
Keehani: The computer said you were in your office.
Wil looked up from his perfectly symmetrical cocktail, and swallowed a little. He looked down at the vacant spot on his red uniform where his combadge should have been.
Wil(H): After we got back in the Indy, I couldn’t go back to my apartment. So I went to the office, and I sat down at the desk and… ::shrug:: I dunno, I just threw my combadge onto the desk then I ended up here for a drink. ::Looking down at ground, ironic
smile, shaking his head:: I thought I was gonna die, Keehani.
The First Secretary placed a supportive hand on his shoulder, as he leaned forward to take another sip from his drink.
Keehani: Between you and Rivi, we almost lost both of you.
Wil coughed a little, somehow managing to keep the liquid that was inside his mouth from being spat out.
Wil(H): What happened to Rivi?
Keehani: You don’t know?
With his eyes wide open, Wil held out his palms, almost demanding Keehani to tell him what she knew. She tilted her head in surprise.
Keehani: They mustn’t have told you yet… Ambassador Vataix visited a candidate Betazoid colony planet and was hunted by a Hirogen.
Wil’s jaw dropped in shock, before he looked past Keehani at nothing in particular.
Wil(H): Oh, no. Is she okay?
Keehani: I’m about to go check on her. Come with me, I’ll tell you all about it on the way.
Wil(H): ::Shocked tone:: Yeah… yeah, okay.
Wil stood up from his stool, and grabbed the half empty cocktail glass to take with him – which the female Vulcan owner with her brand new artificially multi-coloured hairstyle noticed.
T'Plutok: Commander. These are licensed premises, as is every establishment that offers alcohol on Amity Outpost. Regrettably, I cannot permit you to depart in possession with an alcoholic beverage.
Wil looked down at the cocktail, before lifting it to his mouth and sucking the remaining contents of the drink through one of the straws.
Keehani: ::Tilting head, slightly unimpressed tone:: Make that, ninety-*seven* percent you.
Once the contents of the glass was finished with a slurp, Wil quickly put the empty glass back on the bar.
Wil(H): Cheers, T’Plotuk.
T'Plutok: ::Raised eyebrow:: Peace and long life, Commander.
Keehani grabbed human Wil by the arm, and led him outside into the mezzanine towards the train station on the Ground Level. She hooked her arm around his elbow.
Keehani: What’s he like?
Wil(H): Who?
Keehani: You know… the other you.
Wil(H): I dunno, I’ve hardly spoken to him. “Me?”. “Him?” ::Handwave:: Whatever. I was so focused on getting the Indy back to Amity, I just didn’t have time. ::Shrug:: And to be honest, the whole thing’s a bit… weird.
Keehani simply nodded, as they made their way to wait for the next automated train.

The First Secretary pressed the door chime at the main door to Rivi’s accommodations.
Wil(H): I’m really nervous.
Keehani: ::Nodding:: I know.
Wil sighed, while he stared straight ahead at the door.
Keehani: You can’t sense anything, can you.
Wil pursed his lips for a moment, before finally answering Keehani.
Wil(H): Nnnnnnup.
Finally the door slid open.
Vataix: Response
Keehani: Madam Abassador, I’ve come to check on your welfare, and I’ve also brought a visitor.
Wil(H): Ambassador, Keehani told me all about what happened. I’m so sorry. Are you okay?
Vataix: Response
Wil(H): I’m also sorry to bring up an operational matter so quickly, but ::sigh:: it’s one that’s been gnawing at me since we got back - and from a Starfleet point of view I have to ask. This is a bit awkies, but… who’s the XO?
Vataix: Response
