((Vaadwaur Escape Pod))

The wait at least was not too long before she felt the escape pod shake as the tractor beam locked on and soon enough the Trenvonns had beamed aboard, security personnel, what Seleya was assuming the person in charge, and the medical professional at least. Seleya raised one hand to try to show she meant no harm, her left hand was still applying pressing over one of her bleeding wounds.

Yrnans: Injuries are consistent with the data given by the occupant. Shrapnel, burns and the data also suggests there are internal injuries. I am unable to determine the severity.

Seleya rolled her eyes as they talked about her like she wasn’t here. It was going to be one of those diplomatic encounters.

Naarax: Lieutenant Junior Grade Seleya of Khanda, do we have permission to treat you?

Seleya: I am the current occupant, glad my data is consistent, and yes, please.

Yrnans: At once, Scientist II, but…

Seleya let out a long breath at Yrnan's hesitation. Hopefully they did not plan to debate something inane while she bled out in the escape pod.

Naarax: Scientist III Yrnans, speak freely or not at all.

Yrnans: I have only been trained to treat Trenvonn.

Seleya rolled her eyes again, this was not great. Kazleti biology was already tricky, Seleya’s condition was not going to make things easier for them.

Naarax: Sustainment for now is satisfactory, until we hear from the High Council. I have never interacted with any other species, so this is new for me as well. ::To Seleya:: What species are you?

Seleya: My people are called the Kazleti, a recent member species of the Federation.

Naarax: I recognise your uniform as Starfleet? Or at least, a variation thereof?

Seleya: Command red, yes. Specifically Starfleet Intelligence.

Seleya felt there was no reason to lie to them, not that her records were publicly available anyways for them to check if they had access to the Federation Net.

Naarax: Then can you explain how it is that you entered Trenvonn space in a Vaadwaur escape pod.

Seleya: I was in the Devinon System on an assignment. I was auditing and inspecting manifests and cargo. The Vaadwaur decided to kidnap me, and in short after a long game of hide and seek the Vaadwaur ship started having troubles in underspace. I don’t exactly know what, but I barely made it to the escape pod and ended up here. And I still don’t know where Trenvonn space is, but I can promise you that it was not my intention to trespass, and I am sure you can tell by the state of the pod, not like I got thrusters or scanners at the moment.

Seleya felt that was safe enough to share with them for now. The rest of the details would have to wait until she was back at Starfleet to report.

Naarax/Yrnans: Response

As they talked though, Seleya had felt a painful burning pin and needle feeling grow in her body. With all the adrenaline and previous injuries it was hard to get a full read on her status, but now she was beginning to relax, something felt wrong. She turned to Yrnans, her voice a bit more concerned.

Seleya: I am going to -need- you to check my blood’s palladium levels and to tell me if the levels are over 250 ng/ml. It is a matter of life and death.

Naarax/Yrnans: Response

Seleya: My species blood is slightly toxic, we have a natural resistance to it, but if levels get too high it can begin poisoning our entire body. I am going to need you to stop worrying about the shrapnel and scan for internal bleeding, and please tell me you have Chelation? It’s been used before to lower my palladium levels.

Naarax/Yrnans: Response

Seleya: Well, what do you have on hand?

Naarax/Yrnans: Response

Seleya: Well if you reach out to Starfleet, they can explain that I am not here to spy on anyone. And hopefully they can send you information on my species biology so I don’t die in this escape pod.

Naarax/Yrnans: Response

((OOC Note about Kazleti biology and Seleya’s condition: Kazleti have Palladium based hemerythrin, their blood is a light purple with a slight silvery metallic sheen. Kazleti blood is slightly toxic, like retail cleaner chemicals toxic, so won’t kill anyone unless exposed to a lot of it. Kazleti have a natural resistance and an organ that is used to filter out the toxic byproducts into their natural waste.

Seleya has a genetic condition called Vryi’Taerol’s Disorder, her blood has a high amount of Palladium that makes her blood more toxic. There is no known cure at the moment, and OOC not looking for a cure story at this time. Seleya manages it, but if she has internal injuries or if her Palladium levels spike her own blood can begin poisoning her, which is what led to her vitiligo where her blood killed the melatonin cells due to injuries sustained from a previous mission.

The idea so far is that, the amount of radiation she has taken in, either from underspace, or even the Vaadwaur vessel destruction, her Palladium levels are spiking, and other potential internal injuries can leave up to medical staff.))
