((Amity Station, Medical Center, Counselling Care Center))
So the time had finally come. Or at least, that was what Seleya thought. She had received a notification instructing her to report to the counselling suites. Perhaps it was nothing, just a few follow-up questions about the mission. But she had a strong suspicion it was because she was long overdue for her required counselling sessions.
She remembered attending them at the Academy. They had been tolerable at first, until she had to take leave to care for her brother. When she returned early, they required her to attend biweekly sessions. She hated them. Seleya was already reluctant to discuss personal matters, but with counsellors she was even more so. She attended what was required, and since graduating from the Academy, she had made a point to avoid any further appointments whenever possible.
Perhaps she could rely on her usual tactics, try to reschedule. That might be difficult, given she didn’t actually have any assigned duties on the station yet. Still, perhaps they didn’t know that. She could try claiming illness, humans did that sort of thing, didn’t they?
Seleya stepped into the “Counselling Care Center,” already disliking the name, and made her way to the front desk.
Seleya: Excuse me, I was told I needed to report here. Lieutenant Junior Grade, Seleya of Khanda.
Receptionist: Let me look you up in our system. ::She glances to her terminal:: Looks like you are with Dr. Shortrith, I have informed them you are here.
Seleya: Oh.. right, actually can we reschedule-
Before Seleya could finish, the Klingon she had met earlier was here. Seleya had assisted them in triaging incoming patients during the Vaadwaur attack. Seleya turned to face them, folding her hands behind her back in her usual parade rest.
Seleya: Dr. Shortrith, I was told to report here?
Shortrith: Response
Seleya: Right, about that, can we reschedule, things have just been very busy with this unexpected situation I have found myself in as you can imagine.
That wasn’t true at all, she was hoping to report to Ukinix or Hopper to ask for some duties to do around the station cause she had so much free time.
Shortrith: Response
Seleya: Right. ::Her shoulders rose and fell as she took in a deep breath:: This won’t take long will it?
Seleya said with all the enthusiasm as a child told to get their first vaccine shots.
Shortrith: Response
