Jager Hodgson - Meeting At The Top

The city of Oxeania, located on the northern coast in the Tharazad continent on Betazed, was a modern city built forty years after Betazed first joined the Federation. It was known for its far more modern architecture than the historical city of Rixx. Like Rixx, Oxeania had its fair share of greenery, there were few cities on Betazed that didn’t. But compared to Rixx, Oxeania was far more of a commercial hub compared to its much older sister. It was also known for having the most diverse species on any part of the planet, according to the Betazoid government’s near-live census.
The Plaraz building was the home to Lohani Vananth-Polgonz’s media empire, and its many magazine publications. In truth, Jager didn’t exactly know which publications Lohani owned. Any transactions he had made regarding his holo snaps of Betazoid’s celebrities and nobles were always done remotely, and he didn’t care who paid.
Two of the most popular magazines about nobles were “Rogue” and “Muktok Weekly” – the former being a “glossier” quality publication, while the latter was considered a little trashier and more popular amongst the wider Federation than its upmarket counterpart. Not that he’d ever read the magazines, he couldn’t care less.
It was a surprise though when the freelance holo-photographer had been summoned by Lohani Vananth-Polgonz herself not long after his return from Earth. With snaps of three nobles and two Starfleet officers at Club Avander in Rixx, and then weeks later of the newest Matriarch Ascendant and co in Earth’s Sydney Harbour on new year’s eve, he hoped they would fetch a stunning strip or four.
Ironic that Vananth-Polgonz was a noble herself. But again, he didn’t care. She was a businessperson, and Jager Hodgson of “Hodgson Snap! And Associates” (his associates were actually his two pet cats) understood her motivations.

He pulled two PADDs from under his arm. One PADD contained pictures of Etraax, Tri’lea Polgonz, and a Daughter “Taival” (he had to look that one up) from Club Avander. The other PADD was of Matriarch Ascendant Ukinix from the Ninth House, along with her Starfleet cousin and Son Designate, Tri’lea Polgonz (again!), and some other Starfleet officers all boarding a boat with drinks in their hands.
