She wasn't wearing the visor, she didn't know.

Something had changed on the PADDs too. They'd briefly displayed an “establishing interlink” message, and now the whole UI was different.
Bec picked one of the PADDs up. She skimmed through it, brow furrowed.

She kept looking though it, becoming more concerned the more she found—tactical systems, personal logs, a rather large pile of audio files that belonged to Wil…

Wong: I’m going to raise those red flags to a bloody sea of red flags!

If so, it still left open the now increasingly concerning and curious question: where was Mabel?

Wong then started reading through one of the PADDs.
Wong: We need something we can work with. Because I’m not liking where this is going.
Iko: Well, if you hadn't—
She bit her tongue to stop herself, paused, and then let out a long exhale. She was getting frustrated. She didn't like getting frustrated. She didn't want to get frustrated. But there was something here and they didn't have it yet and the problem was just as near solving as when they first walked in and that wasn't good.
Iko: Sorry.
Orrey: Response
Wong: Iko, is there anything in those papers you picked up? Maybe not all of it is a garbled mess. Maybe we just need to put them together.
She went and grabbed the last of them that had originally been on that shelf and brought it all over.
Orrey: Response.
Iko: Remember we're looking for “interlink”.
Wong looked up, no doubt rummaging through the files he had access to.
Wong: If this interlink thing is too dangerous that she resorted to using paper, somewhere on at least one of them, there’s going to be a clue that we can use.
Bec kept rummaging through.
Iko: C'arn, there's gotta be something.
Wong/Orrey: Response
She found something. It wasn't very helpful, but she paused and read it anyway.
Iko: “After fleet formation's failure I don't understand why they didn't terminate the development of interlink”
She put that note as ide and went looking for anything else.

Iko: “Someone's going to think that dampening field is suspicious. How do you explain that? It's not like you need a dampening field to ‘protect against wildlife’ like the fence that's broken near my lab anyway”...
