((Betazoid Bob’s Used Yacht Emporium, Merchant District, Amity Outpost))

Bobded: Olivia, can you get these two some coffee? And perhaps a little chocolate for the charming Vulcan?

Olivia nodded, and moved away to go get refreshments. In truth, she was glad for the excuse to leave. It meant that she could leave Bob to deal with the unwanted guests, and focus her energy on providing that excellent service the Emporium prized itself on.

She would have attempted to persuade their current guests with Orion pheromones, had she still had some. But it hadn't really been a thing for the last few months. The doctors said it was because she was malnourished. But as the attractive face for Bob's store, she needed to look good as well as offer a great bargain.

((OOC: Omitting whispered tags as they are filled and out of earshot.))

Olivia politely called out.

Olivia: Would you two like anything in particular?

Saavei: No chocolate, thank you.

While she didn't like that idea, Olivia also didn't want to see the Vulcan have an anaphylactic reaction.

Her grinning counterpart was another story.

Varati: I've already paid you a lot of Latinum and we've taken over your due diligence obligations…

Saavei: Another term I suspect we have different expectations on.

Bobded: Ladies, I think we can work something out…..

Olivia silently agreed, handing each of their current guests a coffee.

Varati: Well, we need to reach a compromise somehow... Time is money, you know that better than I do. After all, you have to pay your employee somehow, right? ::looks at Olivia:: Does he pay you well? And, most importantly, regularly?

There was a reason Olivia had kept her contract with Bob for as long as she had. She had had many employers before him, but they had rather seldom seen her beyond her skin.

In a way, that was how Olivia viewed herself now. But she was just a humble sales assistant. She needn't bother the station's counselling staff.

Bob walked behind a desk. Olivia watched; her expression neutral but the concern prevalent.

Bobded: Whoa! I can assure you we are above board.

The Orion Saleswoman approached the two annoying customers with a smile, going so far as to attempt to put her hand on each of their shoulders. But she said nothing.

Varati: ::to Bob:: You repair the damage immediately and refund me 25 percent of the rental price. Then I'll refrain from reporting the matter to the Chamber of Commerce. And on our next trip – you know, anything can happen out there – just come along! So we can be sure that everything is above board. As a bartender – naked, of course! Or shall we walk over to the terminal together and see if the other yacht has any defects too? Yes, of course, dressed as you are now... ::giggles::

Saavei: ::to D'Cyra, deadpan:: You wish for Bob to accompany us naked on your yacht?

Bobded: Oh 25% is a little steep. And the suggestion of me being your bartender? You would have to do much better than that.

Olivia: Alternatively, if they really needed a bartender service, they could always ask for myself.

She had experience mixing drinks before. And ensuring that customers have the very best experience.

Varati: Response

Saavei: Repairs and a partial refund sound acceptable. Your maintenance on the Monochrome Majesty was negligent.

But they had to get through this first.

Bobded: Do you have proof of this? After all, all I’m seeing is all talk and of course, we have no idea if the damage you’re claiming isn’t from…. Oh…. user error.

Varati: Response

Olivia: If you will allow us to follow protocol…

Saavei: I remain unconvinced we need a bartender, however, it is D'Cyra's vessel. ::to D'Cyra:: Please allow him to wear clothing, if you decide to do so.

Bobded: Unfortunately, I believe that this is where our negotiations must end.

Olivia turned to face Bob, confused at whst he was planning.

Varati: Response

Bobded: There is an ancient Ferengi proverb that I’d like to share with you - “you break it, you bought it.”

Saavei: I have heard a similar Earth proverb, used to... :: a pause:: ... I see you mean this as a turn-of-phrase.

Olivia/Varati: Response

Olivia kept quiet again, leaving the negotiating to her employer. Behind the two customers and through the window she could see Starfleet officers in gold. She tried not to be so tense.

Bobded: You’ve threatened and harassed me which I’m sure is very becoming of a Fleeter, you’ve gone after my partner and I’m afraid that your time here has come to a close. You can explain yourselves to security.

Saavei: An interpretive way to describe our interaction.

Varati: Response

Moore: ::Loud:: What is going on here?

Olivia looked at Bob. He didn't need to make this more complicated than it was…

Saavei: ::looking back to Bob, deadpan:: Had you requested we leave prior to this moment, we would have complied.

Varati: Response

Her employer waved the security lieutenant over.

Bobded: Officer, can you escort these two out? They’ve threatened me and my partner. I’d like them banned from my shop.

((OOC from Kaito's writer: Going to split this in two. First Kaito is going to talk with Bob, and then with them. We might need to back sim, and I would imagine Varati and Saavei’s convo before Kaito comes out is out of earshot, so just add Kaito in when you feel like it on your next sim.))

Moore: You two — ::He motioned to Saavei and D’Cyra.:: Out now.

Olivia wrapped her arms around her torso. She was visibly more uncomfortable.

Saavei: Aye sir.

Varati: Response?

Moore: Now! Go outside and wait with the officers. You are not to leave the scene of the crime.

But there was no crime…

Saavei: Aye sir.

Varati: Response?

He waited for them to leave. He also motioned for two of his officers to join him inside the Emporium.

Moore: Now that that’s over, do you mind telling me, Mr. Bobded, what they did that warranted the use of the silent alarm — one that I know you would not push unless it was truly necessary?

Olivia: Bob, they were just being tricky! Not dangerous.

Dangerous was back when she was working for that tellarite merchant years ago.

Bobded: Response

The Security lieutenant began taking notes.

Moore: Mhmm… go on. I need all the details. These are serious allegations you’re leveling against two Starfleet officers. Not saying I don’t believe you, but I also believe you would not press your alarm unless you truly felt threatened.

Olivia kept quiet.

Bobded: Response

Moore: If you don’t mind — ::He looked over at his security officers.:: I will need the security recordings. Their actions, if true, are unbecoming of Starfleet officers.

Bobded: Response

Moore: Response

From every corner of the galaxy she'd worked in, nothing had been quite like this.

Olivia: Lieutenant.

Moore/Bobded: Response

She was worried about what Bob would think about this next request, but it seemed like the easiest way to get rid of their current problem.

There was a glance to her employer before she turned back to the Starfleet officer and asked:

Olivia: May I be interviewed alone?

Moore/Bobded: Response
