He paused and waved a hand around, indicating the ShiKahr District in general.
Aurelio: I haven’t found a single ice cream stand here yet. I don’t think Vulcans like it very much.
Which wasn't completely unreasonable. Ice cream didn’t seem like it did well with heat and heavier gravity. Especially the cones.
Ukinix: Yeah, why is that? I mean I know the environmental conditions on Vulcan probably aren’t ice cream friendly, but that doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy one if they say visit Earth, right?
One of the gardeners for the district walked by; Aurelio just lifted his hand in the proper gesture. He hadn’t talked with the man much, but he'd been perfectly polite when Aurelio had asked about the gardens earlier.
Aurelio: Maybe. Some things taste too strong to Vulcans, though.
He shrugged a little. His mom didn't mind strong stuff so long as it was sweet, but his grandfather didn’t really like any of it.
Ukinix: Let’s head to Sarek Station, then we’ll catch the train up to the Mezzanine. Just let Commander Wil walk a little slower, yeah?
Aurelio nodded and made a point of visibly slowing down.
Aurelio: I’ll meet you at the station next time.
Fureri would be available by then.
((Blue Line Train, heading towards Peace Park Station))
The train was pretty quiet; it wasn’t quite the time when people would be taking meal breaks or going on or off shifts or anything like that.
Ukinix: How’s school?
Aurelio: It’s alright. Sometimes they teach me things I already know though. ::he gave a little shrug:: I know a lot of scientists.
He looked down the mostly empty carriage, thinking. With Taelon there he really did need to work on some reports about the nebula.
Ukinix: And you’re enjoying Amity?
Aurelio: It’s pretty nice. I wish Idrustix was closer, though. I miss surfing. And being able to visit people. We’d go to Risa a lot. And sometimes Earth, and sometimes Vulcan…

Aurelio hesitated, then shook his head. He didn’t want to disappoint Wil, but he wasn’t going to lie either.
Aurelio: I want to be a doctor. Or a scientist. But I know a lot of Starfleet people; I don’t think I’d enjoy being in it.
There were a lot of stories he didn’t get to hear, and many of the ones they could tell him involved ship battles and people getting captured or malfunctioning holodecks that killed people. That wasn’t what he wanted for his life.

Aurelio: Mom joined Starfleet because a friend thought she’d be really good at it. My dad did because his little brother went missing. ::He wiggled around on the seat a little and then looked up at Wil.:: That’s who I’m named after.
