((The Terrible Targ, Merchant District, Habitat Ring))

Bec took her mug by the handle and swallowed the contents she had just poured, spinning the mug and (kind-of) slamming the cup back down on the bar as she scrunched up her nose and pursed her lips.

Iko: that $%@# is stronger than I expected.

B'Mar: You will not find better quality gagh in this or any other quadrant!

Bec began pouring herself some more as she spoke, giving Barberra (who was delightedly tucking into some gagh) a metaphorical elbow in the process.

Iko: Do you remember what Ninzo told you?

Barberra: Yes I do.  Rule two hundred and eight.  “Sometimes the only thing more dangerous than a question is an answer.”

Bec smirked.

Iko: I never said you had to follow her guidelines!

She tapped at the bar in front of Barberra's drink. Barberra took the gesture correctly and drank some more of her bloodwine while Bec finished up what was left in her own mug.

Barberra: Who’s guidelines should I be following then. ::Looking to B’Mar:: Yours?  Because I will happily follow them.  ::Slamming mug down on bar:: Q’apla’!  And other Klingon words I don’t yet know!

B'Mar: ::laughing:: your deeds may yet be worthy of song!

She wrapped her arm around Barberra's shoulder, but it didn't feel the same as the bro-hug that everybody got. This was much more… special. Yes, special. Special-er than special.

It was a good feeling, and she wanted it to last forever.

Barberra put her hand on Bec's arm, seemingly with different intentions than what ended up happening.

Barberra: ::To B’Mar:: Uh… could you give us a minute?

 B'Mar: As you wish…

Their bartender moved away, and Bec, not knowing what to say, muttered out the following.

Iko: So…

After a moment, the two women were looking each other in the eye, both blushing slightly.

Barberra: I don’t know if it’s the bloodwine talking, or the gagh, but… I don’t not like you.  More than I don’t not like some of the others I don’t not like.  And much more than the others I don’t like.

Bec gave Barberra one of her deadpan expressions before it quickly morphed into a smile.

A big smile.

A goofy, embarrassing, in-love smile.

She moved herself slightly closer to Barberra.

Iko: You are really cute, you know.

Barberra took her hand and cupped Bec's chin between her thumb and fingers. This only made the Hybrid smile more.

Barberra: So… do you… want to… go out with me?

With a hint of a tease, Bec replied.

Iko: What are you trying to say?

Barberra: ::Tut:: Okaaaay.  I like you, and maybe we should kiss, geez.

The half Klingon shrugged, before gently preening Barberras hand off her face, pulling it down to sit in her lap. Bec continued to hold it as she gave the crewman a soft, sweet, special kiss that made her heart ache and flutter.

Eventually peeling away to look into the dark brown eyes of the crewman again, she broke the relative "silence" of the moment, which in actual reality was paved in music, cheers from onlookers and mugs being smashed onto tables.

Iko: Like that?

Barberra: response
