((Outside “Whispering Wall” Colony, Planet Imza-4521-L, Barossa Nebula))
Torvi wandered over to one of the doors at the far side from where they had entered. Pressing the door button, and it swooshed open. It revealed a turbolift.
Ylvor: ::To herself:: I wonder where you go to..
On the back of the turbolift wall there was a small diagram, denoting the level they were on currently, as well as the others underground, but above them was a landing pad, which made her raise her eyebrows. Torvi might be able to get her bearings a little better from seeing the base from above.
Richards: Do you two have anything?
Vanlith: I don't really know what to think. No life signs, weird energy signatures, creepily clean. ::looking towards Nathan:: and not as big as we were expecting?
Torvi turned back to let the others know.
Ylvor: Commander, there's a turbolift here, looks like it goes up to a landing pad, might be something in the flight logs about comings and goings?
Richards: Well, it might be better than the nothing we have down here.
Ylvor: If we were to search the whole base we'd need alot more security teams to fan out, with just us it's slow going. I don't like leaving uncleared sections behind us, but I feel we need to find something tangible soon.
Richards: Agreed. Maybe a birds-eye-view will help us understand the colony a little more…or something.
Vanlith: Response
As the trio piled into the turbolift, Torvi pressed the button for the landing bay level, curious to what they would find.
Ylvor: We should be able to get clear comms to the Indy and the other away teams..
Richards: Depending on what we find up there, it might be a good idea.
Vanlith: Response
The doors parted ways, Torvi had her eyes closed to help shield from the expected sudden bright light, and she stepped out quickly, rifle up. Not entirely sure what to expect, looking around, once again as dead as the Flight Training hangar at the San Francisco Academy on a Friday night. But Torvi was sure this wasn't due to the personnel all scampering off for happy hour. Part of the extensive bay was under enclosed, with a large door to shield from the weather and for maintenance, which opened up to a landing pad. A number of the allocated bays were empty, with the others filled with 2 Talon Class scouts. The bay doors being open was against protocol without Flight deck personnel being present. She shook her head confused.
Ylvor: ::Nodding to the Talons:: They don't have registries..
oO Damn peculiar that is Oo
Richards: Take a look around and see if you can find any sort of controls for the hanger. Maybe we can find the logs as well.
Ylvor: I don't hold out much hope that the secret base keeps meticulous records..
Torvi said, mainly to herself.
Vanlith: Response
Richards: =/\= Richards to Independence. =/\=
Ukinix: =/\= Ukinix here Nathan, go ahead mate. =/\=
Torvi turned back to Nathan when she heard the Indy coming through clearly, which was a good sign.
Ylvor: If we didn't have comms we'd have to use one of these Talons.. hopefully they don't have security lockouts.
Vanlith: Response
Richards: =/\= We've found a landing pad down here with some Talon Scouts. Looks like a couple might be missing. Might explain what happened to the colonists. =/\=
Ukinix: =/\= I can probably explain one of them. The head of research I think headed here in one of them with half of the colonists, who have just now beamed themselves on board the ship somehow. We have some of the colonists here. =/\=
Richards: =/\= Wait, you what? =/\=
Ukinix: =/\= I'm getting more information now about the rest of the colonists. See what you can find out about that second scout. Chat soon, let Hops know if you get a chance. Ukinix out. =/\=
Ylvor: The colonists are on the Indy? I would not have thought to look for them there..
She maintained a deadpan expression.
Vanlith: Response
Richards: Well, that’s certain something…
Ylvor: Odd that they have no idea where their compatriots are..
Vanlith: Response
Nathan clapped his hands together and pointed towards the remaining two Talon scouts, Torvi followed his pointing.
Richards: Let’s see if we can figure anything out about the missing scouts. Then we will try and meet up with the others and see about finding the colonists that didn't make it out.
Ylvor: If they are running off base protocols, there should be departure logs, I'll see if I can get one powered up.
Vanlith: Response?
