((Exercise Annex, Community Services Building, Peace Park))
Ceciri was fencing with one of the other people who regularly met when they were all available - the so-called 'Breakfast Club'.
They were called that because they met before Breakfast time Amity time, and left just after it, largely because everyone worked. The rule of the club, though, was that every week they swapped swords and fencing styles. In some cases, the 'style' was just straight combat, like when they did Klingon bat'leths, or Vulcan lirpas, but this week they were using traditional Orion kalithes.
And Ceciri wasn't very good at the fencing style this sword created. Still, this rotation was good - it pushed her to learn new things, and it was good exercise.
Dal'riath: And point. And game.
Ceciri winced. She had scored.. a point. Out of five. Well.
Ariadust: Good match. ::Ceciri safed her sword:: Good fight. I wish I had time to practice more with it.. ::shrugs:: but that last move of yours was masterful. I don't know if I could have countered it even with practice.
The Andorian zhen smiled good naturedly, shaking her head
Dal'riath: Unlikely. I think you just don't have time to keep up with the martial arts you used to attend.
Ceciri nodded with a rueful tilt of her head.
Ariiadust: Yeah. It's been a bit busy for the last few weeks.. ::Ceciri looked at the panel at the wall.:: But with that it is time for me to get to my shift after putting up some of our gear. Until next time!
Ceciri strode off - first to take a shower and change into her uniform - then second to put up some of the gear they had. It was her turn - the club had agreed to split it up, and while it was just carrying it to the storage platforms, it did take some time. Today, she was also putting up the Terran épées the competitive team had been training with, and she was about to put them into the storage transporter when she spotted Wong enter the room - before tripping on a casually thrown helmet, and it took a very rapid movement on her part to hold him steady. Looking around, Dal'riath was already gone - there was no one else in these rooms of the annex.
Ariadust: Sorry about that Lieutenant. I was just in the process of cleaning up and hadn't spotted that helmet yet. ::She gestures to the swords and gear already on the platform.::
Of course, he wasn't alone, with .. was that the chief of security following him? Ceciri could just fade into the shadows any moment now.
Ariadust: Sir! .. I apologize for the mess of the annex.
Ariadust: Well. Half of the club had to report for early shifts. ::is talking as she picked everything up:: It was an emergency call of some sort, so they didn't leave their gear in the normal area. Still, as one of the three people who's job it was to clean up, I apologize for leaving a hazard out.
