Gavrin was slowly settling into his new life onboard the Artemis, and was taking his first shift as engineer on duty. He was deep in the guts of one of the consoles in Engineering when his commbadge chimed.
Munro: =/\= Ensign Tarsan please report to my coordinates immediately =/\=
Gavrin sat up suddenly, banging his head on the console with a yelp. Rubbing his head with one hand he tapped his commbadge with the other. This clearly wasn't good.
Tarsan: =/\= Enroute =/\=

It took a moment to beam down to the Commander's coordinates, Gavrin glancing between the two officers present. Neither of which he'd met, but fortunately the Lt. Cmdr. handled the introductions.
Silveira: Ensign. Vitor Silveira, I wish we could meet under better circumstances.
Tarsan: Commander...s. What are the circumstances?
Gavrin watched as Vitor leaned down to point to a discarded commbadge.
Silveira: I am not sure if their capture took it out, or she left it behind. Either way we should get a reading from the area and start looking for ship movements.
A kidnapping? This went from bad to worse. Gavrin already had his tricorder out before Vitor had finished speaking, first scanning the commbadge and pulling up the profile of the missing Lieutenant, and then the surrounding area to find a fading transporter signal.
Tarsan: I'm detecting a faint signal. Do we have any leads on who might have taken her?
Munro: Response
Silveira: I don’t know the Lieutenant all that well. She is a good officer, that much I know. I believe she is a Fleet brat, if I am not mistaken her father is a high ranking officer… She served on the Ronin… And we have to dig more…
Gavrin busied himself expanding the range of the frequency scanning, letting the two senior officers speak for the time being.
Munro: Response
Silveira: I will tell you one thing…. Whoever did this certainly isn’t someone who knows us... Nobody messes with the Artemisians…
Tarsan: Could it be a random kidnapping or do you think she was specifically targeted?
Gavrin sent the readouts to the PADDs of the two other officers, glancing up at them. As he did so, he caught movement out of the corner of his eye.
