This week I'd like to talk about building circuits that compute
Boolean logic in biological systems. Please read the following paper:
Environmental signal integration by a modular AND gate. J Christopher
Anderson, Christopher A Voigt, and Adam P Arkin in Molecular Systems
Biology (2007). link: http://www.nature.com/msb/journal/v3/n1/full/msb4100173.html
If you want to read about more complicated circuits, check out this
paper (you should be able to view it with this link if you have a
Harvard PIN):
A universal RNAi-based logic evaluator that operates in mammalian
cells. Keller Rinaudo, Leonidas Bleris, Rohan Maddamsetti, Sairam
Subramanian, Ron Weiss, and Yaakov Benenson in Nature Biotechnology
(2007).

Sorry about taking so long to post the papers! For the AND gate paper,
just try to understand the principle behind how the AND gate works,
and we'll discuss the tuning of the gate when we meet.
