Dear Volunteer,
SayTrees invites you to celebrate this Earth Day with us while we talk to a few artists who are fighting climate change and inspiring many through their art.
Presenting ArtisTree- An Ode to the Earth, hosted by Dr. Manusmriti Singh, Ph.D. in Cancer Research.
Featuring Ms. Nandini and Yugm Band.
Nandini Ganesan, a Bharatanatyam practitioner, choreographer, and performer, is the 3rd generation from a family of artists who spearheaded classical dance movements in Mumbai.
A recipient of the Ministry of Culture Scholarship, Nandini is a Doordarshan graded artist and is empaneled with the ICCR (Indian Council of Cultural Relations).
“Vriksha Kauthuvam” was created in the midst of the lockdown, with the sole purpose of sending across a strong message to mankind to introspect, wake up and stop the continued destruction of our planet.
Yugm is an Indie-folk band currently based in Jaipur. Over the last 4 years, the band has performed at a variety of festivals & events, with over 500 performances including 8 TedX talks under their belt.
Their music is inspired by the lives, experiences, and issues of people. Songs cover a wide range of topics, but the band focuses on prevailing social issues like water wastage or the taboo against menstruation.
