During annotation/transcription, is it possible to stop SayMore from playing the sound segment over and over? It would be nice to be able to turn that off. I'd prefer to control that with a keyboard shortcut or something like that.

Thanks

Will

Do you mean written transcription/translation? There is a 'button' on the row, in the left column next to the line number; a square inside a circle. Clicking on it stops the playing. Click on it again, and the playback goes again. I think there is no keyboard command for this; space-bar doesn't do it.

Hi Amy,

In addition to the button, you can use F2 to start and stop the playback:

When you go to a new row, the playback will start again.

Yes, but it'd be nice to be able to turn it off once and for all. Otherwise, I have to hit F2 every time I move into a transcription or gloss field, which becomes tedious. (Also, on my Lenovo laptop, I have to press Fn+F2, since the F2 button is something else by default.) It's nice to have the option for a continuous loop, but you don't always need the continuous loop.
