Well done with the development of this utility so far. Further to
oldcpu's comments:

1) The horizontal timing range is usually known as 'Horizontal Sync'
timing (not 'Horizontal Refresh'), and the units are in kHz. The range
needs to encompass more realistic values (30-100kHz say)

2) The vertical timing is known as 'Vertical Refresh' and measured in
Hz. Realistic values for contemporary displays (50-120Hz)

3) As oldcpu already noted, the display modes seem to be pulled from
Xorg.0.log, rather than xrandr. Where a user has added custom
modelines via xrandr (or Xorg configuration files), these should
ideally be determined dynamically via xrandr. (The Xorg.0.log entries
will not necessarily reflect these modes in the same way.).
