See below reminder of the KBRS 2025 Symposium:
Dear Biodiversity Colleagues,
This is a reminder that there is 3 weeks to go before the abstract submission deadline for the 20th Kimberly Biodiversity Research Symposium (KBRS) that will be held on Wednesday, 17 September 2025 at Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley.
Abstracts:
You are cordially invited to submit your abstract(s) for consideration. Presentations on any field or theme of biodiversity related research will be considered, however contributions directly applicable to the Northern Cape Province will be prioritised.
- Abstract submission deadline for in-person presentations is: 24 July 2025.
- Abstract format: See the registration form example for the information required.
Registrations:
The number of in-person delegates will be restricted to 100 people and registration will be on a first come first serve basis. To register, please scan the QR code to take you to the registration form. If you experience any problems with accessing the registration form, please give us a call or send us an email to assist you.
The deadline for registrations for both in-person and virtual attendance is: 1 August 2025.
Sponsorship
Sol Plaatje University has kindly sponsored the venue this year again, however the KBRS still requires sponsorship to cover the costs on the day, such as catering etc.. Please contact kbrsym...@gmail.com if you would like to be a sponsor.
SACNASP CPD
This event qualifies for Category 1 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points, essential for South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) certification.
