Dear SAWMA community,

Find below and attached information on the launching of an initiative about wildlife translocation that might be of interest to some members. Feel free to share it to your networks.

Dear colleagues,

We are launching the Global Translocation Study, a collaborative research project to understand how individual traits, environmental conditions and management practices shape home range formation across a wide diversity of wild vertebrates, with the aim of improving our understanding of learning in wild animals as well as conservation translocation success. To do this, we are compiling post-release movement data of translocated, reintroduced, relocated and rehabilitated vertebrates (project summary attached to this email).

We would greatly value your collaboration to this study, through the contribution of your data and expertise. If you are interested in participating, please complete this brief survey (by May 1st) to provide information on the current status of your data:
https://tinyurl.com/global-translocation-study

We will then contact you regarding the data sharing procedure.

We thank you for your interest in this study and we look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Simon Chamaillé-Jammes
on behalf of the Global Translocation Study core team (Inès Khazar, Simon Chamaillé-Jammes, Nicolas Morellet, Nathan Ranc)
