Position Available: General Manager & Academic Advisor
Lajuma Research Centre – Soutpansberg Mountains, Limpopo, South Africa
Full-Time | Start Date: ASAP
Deadline: 10 June 2025 (or until filled)

We’re looking for a dynamic, academically driven leader to join the Lajuma Research Centre team in one of South Africa’s most biologically diverse montane environments.

This dual role combines field station management with academic mentorship. Ideal for someone passionate about conservation biology, field research, and student development.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations, logistics & infrastructure
Mentor undergraduate & postgraduate students
Oversee multi-disciplinary research coordination
Support field courses & academic publishing
Engage with national & international partners

Requirements:
PhD (or near completion) in ecology/zoology/conservation
Experience supervising students & managing field operations
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Willingness to live & work remotely
Valid driver’s license (4x4 experience preferred)
