Dear colleagues and friends
The South African National Biodiversity Institute will be releasing National Biodiversity Assessment 2025 later this year. The NBA is a collaborative effort to synthesise the best available science on South Africa's biodiversity to inform policy and decision making in a range of sectors and contribute to national development priorities. NBA 2025 takes the format of: i) a Summary of Findings and Key Messages publication (printed and available as a PDF), and ii) a website with ~100 webpages of scientifically referenced, citable content and links to further technical documentation and academic publications.
Good images and captions can tell a story very well, and SANBI needs your help to find the right images. Please see the attached list of images that we need for NBA 2025.
If your image meets one of the needs on the list and the resolution requirements (300 DPI or at least 2000 pixels wide), please submit to Tasha and Zimkita (in the cc field of this email) by 31 July 2025.
We sincerely appreciate the willingness of photographers to allow us to use their images, and will credit the photographer.
With thanks and kind regards,
Carol
