New Delhi. Congress has announced that Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif
would perform an item dance number in the central hall of the
parliament in an attempt to break the deadlock over opposition demands
of a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee) probe into the 2G spectrum
scam. Party is hopeful that the opposition members would forget 2G,
CWG, Adarsh, and all other scams once they get the “ultimate
enjoyment”.
“They (opposition leaders) are also citizens of this country,”
Congress spokesperson Manish Tewary said, “If the citizens of this
nation can be happy with stuff like Bigg Boss and forget all the
scams, there is no reason why our respected friends in the opposition
can’t. They must.”
Will she help India forget all the bad things?
In fact our sources suggest that Congress might not even need to pay
Katrina Kaif any professional fee for this special parliamentary
performance. Katrina is all set to become the brand ambassador of
Congress as a result of an “out of court settlement” between the
ruling party and producers of the upcoming Bollywood movie Tees Maar
Khan.
As per the planned events, Delhi Chief Minister and Congress leader
Mrs. Sheila Dikshit would send a legal notice to the producers for
using her name in the song “Sheela Ki Jawaani” without permission and
ask for compensation. As soon as the news channels would run it as
“breaking news”, both the parties would come up with an out of court
settlement as had happened in the Dabangg-Zandu Balm case.
Producers of Tees Maar Khan have agreed to the proposal which would
end up making Katrina Kaif, the actress dancing to the tunes of
“Sheela Ki Jawaani” in the movie, as brand ambassador of Congress; in
the same way as Malaika Arora Khan had become one for Zandu Balm.
“Any publicity is good publicity,” producers Twinkle Khanna, Ronnie
Screwvala and Shirish Kunder said on phone, which was being tapped by
our PR consultant Niira Radia.
Apart from breaking the deadlock in parliament, Congress is also
hoping to replicate the success of “Munni Badnaam Hui”, which had
helped Zandu Balm record a 35% rise in sales. The party is planning to
use Katrina Kaif’s posters from the movie Raajneeti in the upcoming
elections in states like West Bengal to increase its vote share.
