Aside from wishing the Balance column could be made to stick around (as has been mentioned previously), I don't think it's calculating things correctly either. See the attached screenshot which shows one of my accounts sorted by date ascending with projection turned on. Clearly, the Balance column values make no sense.

Thanks for an otherwise good product!

This will be fixed. Actually, the problem is that sorting date in ascending order (earliest transaction on top) is currently unsupported. So if you use that sort order now, the balance calculation will be incorrect.

For now, the workaround is to restart Savings, and make sure you don't change the sort order in the date column. Better sorting will come soon, as well as the ability to make balance column stick. Will let you know when both are added.

Wondering if the ascending date (with projection) has been supported yet. Trying to set this up like a traditional checkbook (moving from current to future months) and haven't found a way to do this. Any word?

Hi David,

Sorry, ascending date is not yet supported. I actually turned off date sorting entirely in the 1.3 release, because it causes problem elsewhere in the program. Column sorting is not a high priority feature now, but I will let you know when it is available.
