I had a computer power fail crash and had to reinstall Savings after repeated error messages ("Error occurred while obtaining metadata for persistent store. The application has to quit now."). I have my last saved backup .savingssql file, but when i try to reintroduce it I continue to get the error message.

Hi there,

The steps on this thread should get you back up:

Let me know if it works out.

I saw this in a previous thread and it didn't work several times, but once I reinstalled and reintroduced the file again it did. Thank you!

To verify, which specific files should I be backing up if I'm doing a manual save? I notice that now as I'm working, the .savingssql date modified doesn't update, but the -shm and -wal files do.

Hmm, interesting how that worked out, but sounds like it’s okay now.

In Mavericks, the database format has changed, so it’s best to just backup the enclosing “Savings" folder, which contains the .savingssql/shm/wal files. When restore, just restore that folder in its entirety.
