Some people have asked:
"Who are the candidates?"
"How does one become a candidate?"
"Do you have to be present at the meeting to vote for the candidates?"

Hi Folks,

There's a FAQ on nbll.com under "NBLL Membership".  These questions, and others, are answered there.

Note that the date to declare board candidacy has been changed from May 1 (what's printed below) to May 7, which is published on the nbll.com homepage.

Also note that the general membership meeting referenced below is currently scheduled for May 21 @ 8pm at Centennial Middle School.  This is the last chance to cast a ballot, as the ballots are counted after this meeting.

Directly from the nbll.com website:

How will I know who to vote for?  Prior to the election (which will be held sometime during the spring season), you will receive background information on all the candidates. The league will also hold a meeting of the membership prior to the election, during which you would have the opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions if you would like. Of course, the most common way to find out more is to talk to other interested parents at games throughout the season. Specific details on the membership meeting will be published soon.
Do I have to attend the meeting to vote?  No. Absentee ballots will be available in mid-May; details will be provided soon.
Who runs for the Board?  Any voting member is eligible to run for the Board.   Typically, the candidates are dedicated parents of league players who want to help ensure the league continues to thrive, but other people have served on the Board out of a love of the game and/or the kids in the community even if they don’t have players in the league themselves.   Anyone who wishes to be on the ballot this year should contact Julene Thom at julen...@me.com by May 1st.
