There are two mportant meetings next week in Washington and you need
to act!

There are two important meetings next week in Washington. One is on
March 8, hearings on the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and
Management Act. The discussion for this meeting will be in
consideration of the possibility of need to c...hange the Magnuson.

Please send your comments on the need to have flexibility in the
Magnuson to this email address:

do...@commerce.senate.gov

The second meeting is on March 10 and will be regarding the 2012
budgets for NOAA fisheries and EPA. Due to the need to reduce budgets,
there will no doubt be questions about the 2011 budget.

Ask your Representatives to question the push for focusing budgets on
Catch Shares, which do nothing to improve the resource, but which do
reduce jobs; and ask about the reducing of the budgets on the science
and research for the fisheries, which, if left in the budget will
improve the chances of folks getting back to work.

These are the members of the House Natural Resources Cmte.
