Letter to BWSSB for pollution discharge into Arakere lake

Dear all,

We had the visit by PCB chairman on 15th Aug and we have the status of pollution discharge into the Arakere lake documented. It was suggested by Dr Alva that we can make a report to him. Accordingly, I have made a document that we can submit to them. Please give your suggestion if any.

You can also suggest measures required to stop sewage coming in to the lake, like stopping supply of fresh water to houses, apartments and layouts which do not treat the sewage 100%, prosecuting officials responsible for allowing houses to come up without treatment arrangement, etc. Otherwise, we may get assurance of "taking action", which does not mean anything.

I have updated the document with a possible work around (may need refinement) for sewage problem. We should discuss this before we submit to KSPCB. BTW, I also got a message from Dr Alva, member KSPCB to submit a report (after visit by PCB team last week).
