Hey guys,
I was running through Hustler archives today, and found this article: http://www.insidevandy.com/drupal/node/6851
It's about how a former editor in chief got fired. This article is a statement from VSC in the aftermath of their decision - most of campus, it seems, was angered by VSC's conduct. It's interesting to read the article, and the comments afterward. It seems to draw some parallels to our current debacle.
Most interestingly, their statement indicates that VSC cares very much about the "S", and they mention how the campus press is our classroom and professional training ground. Funny how the tables have turned; I doubt they would admit the same thing now about WRVU.

But they might very well say it about the Hustler again. The Hustler
seems to get a lot more parental love here. That appears to be one of
our problems.
