Apropos the CoE reception in Palo Alto this Tuesday, here is a list of
alumni I have known over the years with their email address who are in
the Bay Area. Please fwd this message to whoever is "handling" this
event in CISE.

Ajit, can you think of anyone I missed?

I suggest you guys discuss and figure out the strategy of exactly what
you would like them to do and email them individually. These people
themselves may only have limited time to think about how best they can
effectively contribute to the cause. Also, some of them may not have
heard much about the current ruckus, so please also include links to
the blog so they can figure out the story so far, if they've been
living under a rock. Also, would be a good idea send them a copy of
the LinkedIn registration text, so they can RSVP the CoE folks.

If you would like me to email them, let me know and I will. This will
probably be more effective since I know these guys personally. If you
can give me the strategy and a rough text of what the email should say
it will be great, so everyone stays on message.

Thanks for your and Venkat's help. We have couple of people working on contacting alumni who are in silicon valley right now. We wanted the faculty to contact the alumni but they think it's more convincing for us to contact them. So I think we have their permission to do so.
